So it seems to me that someone that is running for president has to be so polar in their views and policies that there is no room for the middle ground in this country anymore. The objective in Iraq is to suppress the insurgent element and provide stability for the young government. From someone who was on the ground just a few months ago I can give you a warm fuzzy on the mission so far. Projected pullout of major combat troops should be 2010, no matter who's elected. But we'll always have some guys over there tending the fire.
