  • Why is yours so silent and others aren't?

  • can i put ina different pump (mcp655)

  • @MultiTylertv No, this is a sealed/glued system. The pump isn't accessible without breaking the reservoir.

  • hi there ,ive been looking everywhere

i have bought this pump/res combo along with

-ek supreme high flow cpu block

-2 ek fc gtx 470 blocks

    -black ice gtx 360 rad

do you think this pump will puch it ? i really hope so :s

  • @wemmetje1 It should, But I would buy 2 seperate pump/res kits and run them single loops. one for the cpu, chipset, etc and one to your gfz cards, thats what I would do.

  • If I grab the res.(well, the XSPC 240 Kit), and another 240 rad and a EK block for my GPU, would this pump be enough for them both, or would I need to get something a bit more powerful?

  • I have been having problems aligning the faceplate with the holes. When ever I screw the faceplate it looks off centre and stand out on my case.

I am using a 650D Corsair Case. Also is the Res/pump suppose to be loose when you push it in the bay? Usually it lock on to the tool less things

  • ok good, it really sounds like that, thought I still had air bubles going roundabout inside the impeller or something :)

  • Will this pump/reservoir together with an EK Supreme LT give significantly better temps than a hyper 212 +? And no, I don't want to get any other type of pump/reservoir :P

  • @olivierhacking

I don't have any personal experience with the hyper 212, but the pump should do ok in a supreme LT only type loop. How well it works will largely depend on your radiator/fan combination where the more the merrier. I'm a bit of a large rad fanatic myself and have been known to run a quad radiator for a CPU only loop..:) This gives me the ability to run really low speed fans and have excellent cooling at the same time.

  • @Martinm210 oh ok :) well thanks for the reply

  • @olivierhacking obviously

  • Good job.

  • this pump/res is really silent, at least in the NZXT Hades Case.

  • Actually I already got a quad fat rad from xspc and a xspc waterblock for the 5970.

  • Question of the year, will this and the antec 200mm rad in a antec 1200 case be enough to COOL a ati's 5970????? someone get back to me asap cause I am very close to purchasing.

  • im using v2 of this bay reservoir/pump with an EK Supreme HF and 280 stealth rad :D works fine for me

  • I have had (2) two of this style pomp/Res combo.. the Version that is in this Vid is Discontinued .. it EXPLODED on me on long game night lol But I contacted XSPC and they sent me out Ver.2 and it seems to flow MORE water and is even quieter.... and comes w/ cover face plates.. looks better.. (6) Six month running and i still cant get my Triple GPU , CPU or Northbridge up over 40C >:) WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

  • I recently bought this pump in my system and the noise is similar to wat you hear on the video.... any ideas how to reduce it... its driving me mad!!!!

  • @MrAv1ator I've noticed that most of the noise is just vibrations, make sure there are no metal "flaps" leaning against it from your drive bay, could even do with screwing in all 4 holes, or using rubberized ones. When I moved mine into a new case I noticed it made a lot of noise until I put in an LED controller below it and a bay cover above it. Now I can't hear it at all, it's also worth mentioning that it will make more noise if the inlet (at the top) is open.

  • too much noise

  • I have it as well, can't hear it whatsoever unless you press your ear right up to it. The funnel thing is open also, which would make a bit of noise.

  • I have this pump and I cant hear it it doesnt sound anything like that. Its silent to me and its right beside my desk.

  • @Titan7170 how did you mount your pump/res with standard screws? and in what case?

  • Man that was close, I searched Youtube for a video on this very pump and res, I was just about to click "buy".

Man I am glad I saw this first.!! That thing is LOUD LOUD LOUD

No way man, need a much quieter pump!!!

  • You can here that its under stress. If under normal conditions i think it would be fine. Other vids have it and its quiet and 750lph!

  • I might get this one instead of the single drive bay one for my kandalf lcs case, yea thats right. Can you change the pump if you want?

  • Why would you change the pump? And I don't think you can cause the plexiglas plates are mounted with kit.

  • if you were gonna change you the pump you should just buy that resavior without the pump. pritty cheap from watercooling uk

  • did you get this i would like to know where the in an out is

  • where are the tube outputs on the resivoir?

  • It has two G1/4" threaded barb ports at the back of the reservoir. One is coming out of the pump and the second is into the reservoir on the right. The ports are back there so when the reservoir is in the drive bay, your tubing would point straight out the back toward the motherboard.

  • this pump is very loud?

  • The pump look's/sound vibrating alot :(

And is a loud pump ???

    Thank's, sorry my bad english...

  • Know where I can get this cheap? I live in Toronto

  • is that a good pump? oO

  • Yes. It's not as powerful as the DDC 3.2/D5 laing pumps, but for low to moderate water cooling restriction it'll do just fine. I just wouldn't use it on a really high restriction waterblock like the EK supreme, small nozzle on a D-Tek fuzion, etc.

  • actually since im starting into WC. I find this extremely convenient with my p182. and i would like to get the D-tek fuzion v2.... so what size fitting would i want to get with that pump, and cpu????

  • @Martinm210 It's true the pump is very loud?

  • @Martinm210 I'm thinking about getting the XSPC X20 RS360 kit with the RASA block, also another 120 rad and a GPU block, the RS isn't very restrictive and neither will my GPU block or other rad, do you think this pump can cope? This is my first time water cooling :)

  • @Martinm210

I am running a system with a GTX580 and a 2500k cpu. Would a single D5 pump be enough to water cool these two components? I am thinking of doing a single loop as I have been told a dual loop is pointless for only two components. Would a dcc be better?

  • I like this setup, if it doesn't vibrate like crazy
