Venice After Dark, Italy

Been there twice and the canals did not smell. Be sure not to go in the high tourist season . We once went in November and it was Wonderful

I have been to Venice three times. The canals do not smell. Venice is a joy to explore and photograph.

@MrBillyjoearmstrong Beautiful and fascinating, but hideously overpriced. Do your research. Very good vegetarian restaurant called 'La Zucca' I recommend. The canals are smelly, but only slightly... I have a good sense of smell. The entire city actually has a distinct smell but it isn't fetid. I mean... don't let that stop you. (Let the price stop you and go to Cinque Terre instead.)

Hideously ? How can you imagine a city where people coming from all over the world want to buy a house and there is no space to build anything new could it possibly be cheap ? And everything has to be carried by boats... Everyone knows Venice is very expensive, but not overpriced.
