just watched the movie..pretty good. The only part that was shit was when precious threw mo against the wall.lol watch in slo mo. U can totally see the stunt double, she wasnt even the same size as monique. And they got a close up of her face. Pretty silly, messed up the moment of the intense scene.

I read a post of some one saying the movie made her feel angry ..b/c of stereotypes of black people and how we live. I like the reality of it all. @gmcmim reality sucks. Not because your not as dark or fat that does not mean that we can't relate to someone elses hardship or success. We as black people like to celebrate only the Obamas of the world the golden stories. What about a dose of reality that might be happening in our world? Yeah, I don't think I can go out and see this movie. It looks too painful to watch. I understand it is about beating the odds but this is just excruciating. I may buy it when it comes out, maybe. But going to the movies to watch it in front of everyone is just to me embarrassing and I am not that dark or fat. I am actually skinny with brown skin. I may sound silly right now but that is how I am feeling at the time. We as blacks get degraded enough.

I am 22yrs and I read the buck "Push" by Sapphire Jones which is what this movie is based on back when I was like less than 10yrs ago.....AM SO GLAD THEY FINALLY BROUGHT THE BOOK TO ACTION!!!!!!!!! "PLEASE DON'T LOVE ME........BEAT ME! " .......wow...can't wait for the movie to come out!

I can not wait until Monique's movie "Precious" hits the theatres!! I will be there at the first show. I haven't read the book yet but I will soon. I am only sorry that I have to wait until September.
