If you put a half slab on top of the spanwer, the zombies won't get stuck on them and they will still spawn.

Or you can just surround the 5x5 area around the spawner with blocks so they can only spawn in that little cubby. Now you only have to dig out a 5x5 quarry instead of like 8x12. Awful overall schematic. Just take the video down.

This is dumb at 23 block drop 1 punch will kill them to mutch efort making potions you should just move them to an area were you can punch all if them guys if you get this modify it good thing to do. :p

i found out how to wire the piston you need repeaters and lots of redstone

You don't need any repeaters and he didn't show how to do it because it couldn't be any simpler. You just need a straight line of redstone running along the top and bottom of the piston gate and to the switch.
