Hey Neil, recently started cropping my first Aji Lemon here in the UK, been using them in cooking but I thought I'd dig up this vid and see how I went with a syncronised chilli munching.
Pretty much the same as your observations, but more of a tongue burn for me, but not too overpowering and wears off pretty quick... absolutely love the flavour, definitely gonna be growing these for a while... they don't half produce a lot of pods don't they!!
Hello my friend, Keith here from the US. Hey i was wondering just how you deal with the aftermath (if ya know what i mean)? from your tests ya know. Anyway love your posts mate keep-em comming, later.
People are always trying to recognize pleasant tastes in substances that are not meant to be pleasant. Alcohol, peppers, I mean I cant think of alot right now, but I know theres alot..
It will have to wait until next season, however the aji lemon seems like it would be a good pepper [at least for some dishes]; so I might consider growing it next year.
I think some plants will continue to produce if the conditions are right.
I'm still waiting for my bhuts to come in. I'll probably use them in currys, but I dont think I would be willing enough to try one straight up like you did.
thanks man,, yea the Aji's here are still fruiting in the middle of winter,, curries with Bhuts or any Naga's is awesome, and after a reallllly hot 1, ya may want to try at least 1/2 a fresh 1 :)
hi neil its the mad scotch bonnet eater from derby here.. wife still thinks i have a screw loose.. just a question mate . where can i buy your seeds from could you send a link please dude... happy hunting ... bonno
you put these peppers in alot of food you eat or do you just eat a pepper when you get the craving?and the million dollar question, whats the next pepper going to be? cheers!!!
basically its 1 of my food groups lol and depending on what im eating that then decides on what to use due to taste,,then when making seed packs deseed dried pods ,so have to have a nibble there on the dried skin, watering looks nice eat..many types, heats, flavors oh then have sauces..
Next, what happens when you dunno bout 1. The Pequin, tiny lil but Delayed heat,, and a min into decided to have 5 more for some weird reason, nice though..

it is also called ecuadorian chilli as it is from that country, used in ecuadorian cooking extensively.
I am using it to make a nice cocktail that we named "yellow snake bite"
