  • I love this videos!!!!

  • Love you Valentina !

  • I wouldn't mind being the wolf in that story ;)

  • To paraphrase an old comment I that loved, that poor piano had to go for some serious counseling after that performance.

Tension, creeping terror, and glimpses of sheer malevolence. Delicious.

  • Im glad I dont like it. I will never want to play it.

  • @maneatingtoilets I'm play it.And I'm not afraid.

  • RUN, LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD!

  • Потрясающая музыка в этих руках!

  • She's should've worn her red cape :p

  • This girl has made a deal with the devil! Stay away, stay away!

  • Hours of practice vs finger steroids? Idk

  • How is that even possible.

  • i get the chills from watching her play this piece..

  • I wonder what an MRI of her brain would look like when/after she plays a piece like this

  • I discovered Valentina Lisitsa here on YouTube quite some time ago, and I have said repeatedly, she is one of, if not THE top pianist of our time. I also thought it would be funny if she married Valentino Rossi - since they would make a pretty racy couple don't you think ? ;)

  • Would I be right to say Rachmaninoff's pieces are usually somewhat dark and extremely complex?

  • Unglaublich!!!!!!!

  • Will I be able to reach this goal to play this by age 18? Doubt it... 50? Doubt. 75, doubt still... Where I'm going is I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS XD

  • And I'm sure the people who dislike this could play this better...??!!

  • 1:27 - got afraid

    1:50 - too afraid oO

    just one word: wow

thats freaking fast, and i think thats the true "spirit" of this piece, gratz

  • @Hobott oh come on, try to laugh, it isn't impossibile ;) Regards

  • :)

  • I think Rach was sticking his two fingers up with belligerence when he composed this.

Arrogant skill. Moody, that's for sure.

    Well played, Valentina *****5stars

  • <3

  • i think that rachmaninov could play this without moving his hands and arms ^^

  • Amazing!!!!!!!! I wish I could play that well

  • Incredible. Greetings from Poland.

  • das ist mit Abstand das schnellste was ich je gesehen habe! Irgend wie unheimlich!

  • Did a search for "hot chick plays Rachmaninoff." I am not disappointed.

  • @Fourmalletz No you didn't. I tried that exact search and this was not one of the results... You are a liar - just as your joke is a failure.

  • @kirinlager49 You actually tried the search. trololol.

  • @Fourmalletz Joke - fail

  • titled .... schizophrenia!

  • 1:50 is crazy how hard she hits the keys so fast

  • One word. Practice.

  • you plus olga kern= duet

  • I see all those passionate angry phrases as fiercely directed hate generated by Rachmaninoff's big ass hands.

  • LOL 1:17 it looked like fast forward. man how do you get your hands loose enough to not get tight but also strong enough to be able to even play that fast? i just performed rondo alla turca for a performance exam and i barely made it through T_T

  • @cmgreen4 Gravity.

  • @cmgreen4 Especially during a performance!

  • @cmgreen4 true it does look like the audio/video has been sped up..

  • Reminds me of Super Mario Bros.....

  • It would be nice to hear you play 39 no 5

  • a magical performance! un-human, unreal! Great Job Valentina

  • Valentina i would like to see you playing sergei prokofiev"diabolique obsession"

  • I think you've got slenderman's hands.

  • @TheViciousVendetta Not that that's a bad thing, in this case.

  • this is officialy piano rape

  • Blow me away ~~~

  • No puede ser

  • I am lost for words . the sheer speed in which she played this made me think at first that it was sped up so the music played at the right tempo but I wasn't... it was all her and I am amazed and at awe at her skill. She is an angel of music and I feel honored to have watched this clip. To be able to speak to her or see her in person would be something so marvelous it could only be in dreams, and there for couldn't exist in reality.

  • Amazing! seriously, I don't think I can move my hands like that... ever! Breathtaking!

  • Valentina's playing is impeccable, played Very descriptively. AMAZING!

  • Truly genius. I listen to other interpretations, but they don't convey the true sense of the piece. I always come back to yours... thank you so much for making such wonderful music.

  • my name is noah bell and i'm eleven and you inspire me

  • I love u :))

  • Thumbs up if you hate comments asking for thumbs up!

  • Es un monstruo tocando el piano. Precioso.

  • @acciodamonsalvatore

Shut up. God hasn't give you a brain. And anyone who uses emoticons has the IQ of a small salad bar.

  • Valentina. Never fucking heard of her until the daft and pointless youtube came out.

  • What the hell.

  • Look like she `s having sex with the piano XD

  • How silly you are, music is music, playing the piano is playing the piano. Is not sex, sex is sex, different thing. You cannot really enjoy and appreciate music if you think about sex, you cannot invest your 100%.

  • Love you for ever Valentina!

  • If it wasn't for the lag of the piano keys, I would swear This is was sped up.

No one should be able to play that fast :O

  • @appa609 listen to flight of the bumblebee transcribed by cziffra its amazing and so fast

  • Valentina, do you give lessons?

  • Amazing that!

  • I watched this movie all through conservatory for inspiration - her expression and power are unmatched. Valentina, you're one of the greats!

  • verry goood

  • Well, I'm done playing piano forever.

  • @MrMayhemChild ........lololololololol.....my sentiments exactly.

  • At the end, I can distinctly hear Argerich turning to Kissin and saying "See? See???"

  • lol someone call an exorcist.

  • 201 people thought they know how to play piano :P

  • My forearms hurt by just watching this. I will never understand how pianists manage to play quick things like this without getting exhausted!

  • RUN,LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD,RUUNNN!!!!!!!!

  • I can even feel the terror of Little Red Hood...

  • I'm so sorry Valentina, but you can't play better than this. This is the best recording in the world.

  • SUPER!

  • You've got to fucking kidding me!!! This piece is beyond crazy to have been written in the first place. I'm lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is she doing 5321 or 5231 with right hand in the beginning ? (the quadruplets) for me 5321 feels more natural, but found out 5231 can works as well..

  • NOSEBLEED!

  • @Vitalfitness4u watch?v=RFMNhx2-VDE&feature=related

  • what an incredible left hand !

  • einzogartig und ganz etwas besonder gutes wie nur sie es spielt

    Hochachtung!!!!

  • She makes Chuck Norris look bad :s

  • Brilliant!

  • she scares me ...

  • And I thought La Campanella was difficult....

  • whoa 240p this vid is old compared to her newer stufffs.

  • little red riding hood got killed

  • Thumbs up if you would sacrifice your hands to play like her!

    Oh wait...

  • @x2thay i would sacrifice my hand to play as good as she can without hands

  • @x2thay LOL

  • Que masacre!!!!! hehe :D

  • hahaha, don't want to screw up the 69 likes on the top comment :)

  • my god she's a god

  • Is it just me who kept staring without blinking, moving, stunned even after the end of this piece?

  • sooooooo jeaaalllllllllllllllllllloooooooousssssssssss! <3

  • Creepy play, but phenomenal!

It's like The Little Red Riding Hood getting tired of running, when suddenly the big bad wolf tackles her and gobbles her up in one bite, with the big burping sound at the end. CREEPY!

What a brilliant piece with a twist for such a fairy tale!

  • Over 9000!

  • >.> GEEZUS

  • OMG! Is that fast forward ????

  • I feel im one of the few girls listening to this...o_O

    maybe it's cuz im inspired!

you inspired me to actually try this piece even though I may never get it XD

So thank you valentina! And flawless amazing outta this world crazy inhuman playing by the way :)

  • I tend not to believe this.........how can this be?

  • She has nothing on Nada.

  • @Pessle Nada? Who the hell...

  • Simply P-E-R-F-E-C-T

Damn! It's the best version I have never heard.

    Bravo!!

  • was it kind of awkward to refer to yourself in 3rd person for the title?

  • @Sph34r Probably about as awkward as looking back to when you were 10 years old and thought 1337 speak was cool.

  • 200 people think this video is accelerated :))))))))

  • 240p we meet again...

  • @tvolala1976 Y U NO LIKE 240p? ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

  • You are the greatest woman pianist I have ever heard.....And you play the Chopin Etudes better than most of the top ten men performing on stage today.....And if Chopin or Liszt were alive today, they would have asked you to marry them after hearing you play.

  • @MoebiusTripper i think pollini's better...

  • @whizzy115 I totally agree with you that Pollini is better. But look at the age difference. But do you agree that she is better playing the Chopin etudes then any other woman you have heard?

  • @MoebiusTripper haha that's true! maybe she'll get better with age ;)

  • @MoebiusTripper This is a phenomenal recording. As for bit about other women, try some of the Argerich recordings. They're pretty polarizing, but if you haven't heard them it's worth while. Also, Clara Schumann played many of the etudes to fair acclaim, but I suppose we sadly can't hear those.

  • @MoebiusTripper I don't understand, how can you think Pollini is better after watching this vid? I mean, could be this is sped up or adjusted in some other way, because her newer version that looked much more real time wasn't half as good as this one, though I just simply can't understand why you would say pollini is better after seeing this... sorry, plz explain

  • @ACDCAJnl Pollini can play this piece blind-folded and chew gum at the same time. Listen to him play the Chopin etudes for example. No one plays them better, except Horowitz, but he used shellac on the piano's hammers to make them hard so as to produce that sound that only he could produce. Pollini has more power and speed in this piece and he has better pedal control. He also has more flair and bravado and knows more about piano dynamics than her.

  • best playing of this ever!

  • There were those that said this was fast forwaded when they first watched this ! I don't blame them, the quality of this video doesn't allow one to see if it is really her playing! This is why Valentina Lisitsa should only upload HQ videos from now on :D

  • I just went on a piano lesson because I was so inspired from her and i realised that it is just SOOOOO hard to play the piano... My dream is to play this and I think i will achieve it in about the next 30-40 years!!!

  • Does anyone think it looks like DVD fast forward 8x when the camera takes it top-down? XP

  • If I ever finally audition for julliard I will learn this song to audition with.

  • I watch this video over 5 times a day hahaha

  • 0_o the f*ck ?

  • emmm this looks really creepy... she is moving her hands so fast O_O .. it looks like the girl in the movie "the ring" is moving :S

  • I can't imagine what the sheet music looks like.

  • My fingers got destroyed after I gave it a try. Bravo, Valentina. You still have fingers :)

  • 0:49 - 1:35 Rules

  • She not only plays faster than sound but also than visibility, check the bass at 1.20-1.24 LOL. Fabulous, BRAVO Valentina!

  • This is sick but i love it

  • I agree. She must have sold her soul. How the hell can a human being play like that ???!!!

  • Outstanding performance luv :)

  • I know how she does this! She sold her soul! Oo Just look at her! That's the proof! xD

  • I would be thankful to hold her hand... Those are the hands of a musical genius. I want to see what it would be like if she had four hands and two pianos. Then I would sh*t my pants. Change them, and continue listening to a mind-blowing masterpiece.

  • wtf that's impossible

    she's a legend, a total genious

  • Rachmaninoff: Certified Crazy Bastard

  • impossible technique..

  • @PattyMMelt So is ur dick. But who'se complaining? Oh yeah, no one since no one wants to get you laid bitch!

  • she is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Every man, who would married her immediately after hear this, thumbs up.

  • @LifeforArt She said in an interview that she plays piano 12-14 hours at day... I just think it's a great woman to receive a handjob from, but marry her? No haha

  • @LifeforArt She is married already to someone named Alexei Kuznetsoff

  • Please play Rachmaninoff Prelude op3 no 2 (C sharp minor)! I promise to listen to it every day!

  • @xBigBangTheory -

Look Hon, I don't need to type in ANYTHING in google, of all places, to learn something about art. Frankly, you should spend more time reading Stanley Sadie than what idiots write on any old Wiki they find. As someone who plays this and other Rach/Chopin/Liszt/Scriabin/Debussy/Moskowski/Cramer/Czerny etudes and has performed most of them publicly several times, I don't plan on taking know-nothings like you seriously.

    Stick it up your nose.

  • @lagunagreg barbequed....

  • Τεράστιο ταλέντο είμαι ερωτευμένος με τα δαχτυλά της.

  • where can i buy those hands?
