I really enjoyed my 9 weeks basic RAF training er not and the really cool buzz cut. But it did change me for the better to the point 10 miles with 35 lbs in 2 hours was fun. As for don't bring your own guns lol tell that to Tack lol
@chris35128.......yes air gaurd and airforce will gladly take CAP members and depending on your rank in CAP you can actually be promoted right after bootcamp.
This video is a joke, they are only showing the good times in basic to make light of joining. When I went through basic in 06, it was nothing like this video it was tough as fuck and you come out of it very changed....stronger

I had Air Force personnel (JTAC's) and Navy people (Corpsman) in my Airborne Infantry unit and they did EVERYTHING our army boys did. So quit acting like little kids k? Good video with alot of useful info for potential Airmen.
This is the official Basic Training Video, and does a good job of preparing you mentally, but there is nothing like actually going through Basic Training.
No air force is superior to the US's. While some might argue that the IDF has superior pilots (I'd disagree), the US has unbeatable superiority in size and technology. No air force can compete with that of the USA. We have to many excellent pilots in too many excellent planes.
How about a small dose of reality here? Whom has the USAF actually fought, since Vietnam, that has had an operationally effective air force? Certainly not Iraq and not ex-Yugoslavia. The USAF has NOT really been combat tested in 30+ years. Imagine a hostlie United Europe (most of whose current pilots are trained to USAF standards) and an openly hostile China or India - with N. Korea and Iran thrown in for good measure. What now? NOW how would you deploy CURRENTLY ACTIVE US air assets?
I can tell that you had 2 problems with this video. Drugs and fatness. Besides that, oh yeah and a lack of basic intelligence, you'd be great for the Air Force.
