I actually liked this movie a million times better than the first, and it seemed to be more in spirit with the original Alone in the Dark trilogy than the terrible first movie.

Toward the end of this trailer it looks like an eclipse is underway, possibly the 2012 eclipse when all planets align. Seems to be a movie about the beginning and end of life as we know it. I will have to check it on filmsi.co.cc to get all the details.

Actualy, to those "autopanning" this? it's NOT uwe boll. It's some other directior, name escapes me this instant but it's somebody else's work and it's been rated by the IMDB at a 4 or so stars out of ten when uwe's work was a 2.3. Might be worth a rental and most reviews call it a good B-movie.

I saw this. Didn't like it as much as the first movie. In fact it was quite boring, I only liked the start and the end... The middle seemed to mostly be a sick and very Asian looking Ed Carnby bedbound with some family looking after him. Weird since Christian Slater was such a good actor, that they'd replace him with somebody who doesn't even resemble him.

This movie sucked. The first one gets a 1/10, this one gets a 4/10. It's one of the tamest movies I've seen in a very long time. Practically every death is off-screen, all the violence is tame and...well, Prom Night (2008) was more violent than this. This movie has a good cast, but Danny Trejo and several others were pointless. The plot to this movie was boring, and it was quite slow at times. And they killed the lovely Natassia Malthe in the opening! UGH. But yeah, it was pretty bad.

@JohnJKUK This film did not have any connection to the game noir the first film. No cast members returned from the previous film and Christian Slater (Edward Carnby) was replace by Rik Yuen.
