Although I can somewhat agree that there is too much going on to get personally connected to any individual character I still thought it was a good movie and would definitely watch it again.
This movie kind of opened my eyes 3 years ago. Finally somebody told us the truth not that we haven't know it it's just that we didn't want to accept it as the truth. I thought this movie was very good. I did not really go into it with high expectations and have not read the book. I will be reading the book soon to see how much better it is than the movie.
The book and the movie so incredible. It helps us girls to really get some common sense when dealing with guys. The Alex and Gigi scenes were my favorite story line. Because it was so cute. We all need that "Alex" type character. That guy friend that will tell us blunt and honest opinions. There's so many reasons to love this movie. There's characters that we all can relate to. Awesome movie and the Book is just as cool.

The comedy is perfunctory, almost as if the filmmakers wanted their child to be a drama but didn't feel confident enough in the material to proceed without a layer of false levity to keep things from becoming too serious. This film is very far from a "masterpiece" and the "complex themes" are dumbed down by weak character development and random scenes that have been ruthlessly trimmed...
A very, very,very beautiful film. Many (too many) viewers at the end of the movie sneered at the enigmaticity, the spirituality and the high scope of the film. Too bad for them. I will see it again on filmsi.co.cc right now.

I've just seen half the film and stopped watching it. When will Hollywood stop making films out of touch with the real world, were people of colour don't exist. In this ensemble romcom there wasn't a single main character who wasn't white and just to pay lip service, they made sure all the male ethnic characters were gay so couldn't be in a relationship with any of the A-list female actresses in the film. Ms Barrymore is old Hollywood so all her films have not ethnic characters.

Ok this movie has just made me understand that I'm alive for one reason, that I'm here for one reason...to learn how to love myself I mean of course you are happy when you're with someone, but the real happyness is the one you find when you're by yourself laying in bed and just loving yourself...my point is that we don't need to have a boyfriend or a girlfriend to be happy WE HAVE ourselves and that's A LOT!

I am an attractive 24 yr old man that is physically fit and owns a passive income real estate company along with an impressive commodities and DJIA stock equities portfolio and I can certainly say what is inside matters WAY more to me than looks. Ive dated looks plenty of times, looks with my experience have alot of identity issues. Well spoken girls that are health concious, goal oriented,intelligent and have strong values and morals are what attracts me, not looks.

The performances of all actors are outstanding and I would say that the script and direction also kept this movie fast-paced and intriguing. I've just seen half the film and stopped watching it. When will Hollywood stop making films out of touch with the real world, were people of colour don't exist. In this ensemble romcom there wasn't a single main character who wasn't white and just to pay lip service, they made sure all the male ethnic characters were gay so couldn't be in a relationship with any of the A-list female actresses in the film. Ms Barrymore is old Hollywood so all her films have not ethnic characters.
