Gisborne Speedway, Sidecar action - 35V takes a tumble

glad to hear the lads were ok. the red light clearly the cause. what a FANTASTIC sound that V-Twin is blasting out....  What motor & who are the team using it?

the grounds to the red light being pulled out is that they had a false start. There were no flag marshals on the infield but i don't know why.

The bike was written off btw, I know both Mick and Blink

I agree with BRB Shots in relation to the red lights, which you can clearly see have gone from green to red and I question why? Clearly the race was ok until the sidecar in front has noticed the 2nd red light and had raised his arm a fraction to late while slowing down. Were the marshal's wearing headphones to keep in contact with race officials? I don't believe the riders are at fault, could it have been a technical fault with the lights or possibly lack of communication somewhere?

I question this accident. Off the start line the lights green and again into the turn with no indicatoins of any problems for this race..In the hairpin the third light is visibly red so on what grounds?. where are the red flags from marshals. Yes, the sidecar infront slows but only onto the straight because the next light is red too. Riders are not at fault. Ask the person why he turned the light red, and why marshals have NOT put up the red flags immediately for this call?. BRBSHOTS.

I Was here when this crash happened. The cause was because it was red and they had to stop, and while the sidecar was trying to slow down it clipped onto the sidecar in front and flipped 6 metres in the air.
