Great video. I have an old Quantum drive (back when the Fireball was the PREMIERE drive to have) that I broke a component off the bottom. The drive is undoubtably otherwise completely intact. Do you know a way to get the data off it? If not, your video has inspired me to open it up and play paintball with it :)

Hey, um, sorry to bother you but if you take the disc off the hard drive can you put it on another hard drive and it would still work?

You can pull apart those magnets much easier if you slide them so they're perpendicular to each other (roughly).
Also, you never took the disks off and showed the spindle motor, possibly the best part of the HDD.
