Why does everyone try to pretend Wu Tang is underground? They're one of the greatest crews of all time but they're also probably the most commercially successful of all time. They had Wu Wear, Nintendo ads, Wu video games, RZA in Afro Samurai etc.

so far its been
80's = east coast
early 90's = west coast
late 90's = mix
2002 till now = south
sooner or later the focus will move again and i suspect it will go to the midwest of america (detroit, chicago ect) after that then it'll move and maybe sometime in the future the uk will get shine
the uk has the best scene right now, no doubt...in america, street hip-hop is more or less extinct,,, with few major labels holding down the experimental hip-hop (def jux, anticon) and that's it...the uk is flourishing right now
