WOW! I just found this by chance fortunately. Since it's a familiar sight, I guess it is "D" City in Akita. If so, it's just a stone throw to my parents' house!!!

@melnoad Where in Akita? Summer is hot winter, cold. The people are really kind (not enough foreigners to be anti-foreigner). Snowboard. You can buy almost everything here (no need to bring tons and tons of stuff). Might want to bring deodorant, fluoride toothpaste, and if your feet are size 10.5 and above, shoes.

Kyu Sakamoto is the name of the singer. This song is "wakamono tachi" and means young people.

wow. just wow. this is amazing, all the structures with the snow makes this so wonderfully amazing and beautiful.
In the near future i'll be living in japan as well. And i hope i won't be living in a city but out in the country side instead.
