Do you think it's possible to make a video for a bow sling via paracord braiding? :D
I know it's primarily just a longer process but if you wouldn't mind adding in ideas as to where and how to attach the sling to the bow, that'd be pretty well appreciated.
this video helped out a ton. i've been needing a wrist sling and now have one thanks to you. but if i can't get my hands on leather what other options do i have?
@cLaX1227 A wrist sling is a piece of material that attaches to your bow where your stabilizer would go and loops over your wrist. This allows for a more relaxed grip while shooting without having to worry about dropping the bow when it is fired.
Dude... AWESOME video, the Missus and I especially got a good giggle out of the "Careful, its Hot "comments...... Keep it up.... the project worked a treat.. great stuff...
Thanks for the great videos. I stumbled across them at AT, and ordered some 550 right away. I just made my first one, and now I can make new slings for all 7 of my bows!
Are you a phone man in "real life?" I saw the snips you used to cut the tape... just wonderin'... Both of my parents and my two brothers work for the phone company ( not mentioning any names, but the intials are AT and T). They used to bring those things home all the time. They are some SHARP scissors. Handy to have around.
i've tried a standard three strand braid sling and a cobra weave. Time to combine the two . . . can you use a three strand brand instead of the diamond?
@bowhunter4e Can you explain how to thread the finished sling onto the leather bracket? The 5/16 hole is not big enough to double back through like my POS store bought sling.
really enjoyed your instructional video. Unfortunately I have not been able to obtain the para cord in Australia. Could you please advise the name of a supplier where I can obtain it. Keep up the good work
bowhunter4e - Could you make another paracord bow sling video showing the other braid that is common among bow slings? I believe one "company" calls it a half and half, and another one calls it the half hitch braid. I learned how the make the cobra slings from your videos and really appreciate it. Thanks!!!
@bowhunter9a I would, the lighter prevents the cord from fraying, it also gives it a cleaner look and almost bonds one cord to another. If you don't want to use a lighter on the diamond braid, you don't have to, you can use shrink tubing for the ends...the cobra weave needs a lighter though.
Love your work and videos, what are the size or gauge of the strings are this same size of boots strings? and also the belt strip where I can buy them, .
What length do you start the diamond braid with? I'm 6'1" and my knuckle dragin' arms have got to be longer than yours...stubby!! lol Thanks for the vid, mo para cord is on the way! Lots to do before turkey season gets here!!
Well...like i said in the video, i usually measure them out like i am drawing a bow..really far...like the tip of my finger to the opposite shoulder, i still have a lot left over...and im not stubby...i am average lmao...5'9" is a good height! I just look at it this way: there is less of me to camouflage lol.
well...i wouldn't recommend it lol...it may be a bit uncomfortable, but i do know guys that have made hammocks out of them...super light weight and you can carry in your pack
lmao...oh, i know...guess my response came out wrong. Paracord has a million uses...I know a guy who lashed together a rope ladder for his tree stand...doesn't use tree steps at all
lol, thats sick I'd like to take a bunch of them, twist them together and them. put a bunch of shrink wraps on it every so many inchs and about 1/12 long. any colors lol, might be bad ass who knows
Nice....... This guy rules. Most people are all about the money but he shares for free. Thanks man.

5/16. You should use a stab, they do wonders for torque, stability and hand shock.

I made one! Looks good. But I don't use a stabilizer on my bow, so I was wondering if anyone knew what size bolt would fit the stabilizer bushing ???
