Great clip this, very entertaining! Just to let you know, Tom won the world champs again this year. I met him last year, and he said he beat both cars, but was happy to go back and record bits where he got overtaken by the bowler, as it made good tv. I bet it would be quite dangerous to try and get past him anyway.

And for all those people moaning about what its called, most people call it a mountain board within the sport, but who cares! Tom K is a great skater anyway :)

I don't think they are all set up, in the Vietnam episode, the cows broke down. You can tell some of the challenges didn't end up as they'd hope, I think they look at the math of it first, find two things that look like they'd have different times, but might end up close "when the train leaves the station at 4:00 going 70mph, the car will.... etc..."

when it comes to 4x4, torque is more valuable. Higher horsepower is generated by higher revs. So while the 2.0l will give 300 hp (with the help of the turbo), it does not produce the TQ required at low rpms, which is where a 4x4 is most at home. You will never find a 4x4 revving comfortable at 7,000 rpm. They will max out at 7,000rpm yes, but the driving range is between 2,500 to 5,000 rpm.

Thats the difference. 5 litre would give much more TQ.
