Re: The American Godzilla movie. Imoh, it would have been better if the producer had called that movie a remake of "Beast from 20,000 Fathoms". Would have been more plausible, much more accepted and would have rated much higher. As far as actors the French guy was the COOLEST character in that movie. Broderick was OK, but the girl "love interest" was just too cornball silly.

Nothing wrong with the American Godzilla movie on its own, it just isn't Godzilla, ya know? It's kinda even what the guy who did Final Wars seemed to think.

Sort of like how the Alien vs Predator movie wasn't really that bad, but many AvP fans just don't see it as a proper addition to the AvP series because of how different the aliens and preds are in it.

Again, not a bad movie on its own. Though I guess they changed a lot from the script that would have explained away most of the logic errors. But neither of the AvP movies really mesh properly with the old series. Though really, neither did Alien: Resurrection and Alien3 is debatable because of the logic behind how the story started out. Or rather, the lack thereof. (Though I still honestly think the director's cut of that one is the best Alien movie so far.)

Godzilla and "King Kong" fall into the ocean and then we see King Kong come out of the water and swim back to his home.

Godzilla is the winner at the end of both movies, because in actuality, what we see swimming away is King Kong's disemboweled corpse that Godzilla is using as a flesh puppet to amuse himself.
