  • Have you tried using any Codemasters games on it such as Cosmic Spacehead, Micro Machines and Fantastic Dizzy? Those cartridges, along with pirate/bootleg "15-in-1" type games might have problems. Would be interesting to see if they all work.

  • I wish my game gear still worked and I knew what wreck yard its in lol

  • I have a PowerPak NES Flash Cart that I got off of RetroZone. It is awesome!

  • Fix the caps on that GG.

  • I went to the site to buy one, but the webpage glitched and took a shit all over itself. I really wanted to buy one, too..

  • I'm sorry, for a hundred bucks, it's just not worth it to me..

  • I only wish Krikzz would use the same type of RAM that RetroUSB uses. For instance the NES and SNES Powerpaks load roms up in a fraction of a second. I would personally rather have that than the "stay in memory" option.

I also hope he starts making the EverDrive and Super Everdrive with the SDHC Micro cards. If you can put a $13 8GB Micro card in there with every rom there wouldn't be much reason to ever open it again (unless for a proto or homebrew release).

  • I have a full GG romset, and it's only 273 megs in size xD

  • I would like to see if they will do a everdrive for GB/GBC/GBA that would be cool!!! :-)

  • @KieranFilth There are already flash carts out for those so I don't think it's high on his list of priorities.

  • Do I smell....Neo geo everdrive? haha, I can only imagine the price. great video as usual man.

  • Your Game Gear may need new capacitors, which are easy to get hold of.

  • On PC i have Visual Boy Advance and works great. For Supercard i just download the file unzip the file and that's it. And i have GG,NES ,SMS games But i didn't try how movies works on that card. For movies i have P1i phone. There are many emulators out there but i trust only two web site i found. I watched your video for Famicom micro. You made a big mistake selling it. I have standard Micro which is made of aluminum and i will not sell that. But you still have NES SP.

  • That's really sweet packaging!

  • @chaobreeder20 but there's Gamekey to add more games!

  • Supercard can't run SNES or SMD games, but can run NES,SMS,GG and GB line games. Even PC Engine works on Supercard but gameplay is super slow. When i want to play different game i reset Supercard by pressing all buttons on GBA. And maybe is that the reason why is not working anymore. That Supercard i used with GBA Micro. Now i am stuck with emulator for games i don't have.

  • @prulcan Yeah I had a similar flash card on GBA that used SD cards. It was advertised as a movie player but of course it was just a flash cart like anyother it holds programs that the GBA can run. There are many emulators for the GBA and I had an NES and GB emulator on mine too since I had a micro so I could play original GB games on it. Plus I could play MP3s and watch MPEG4 video. I had a cool Japanese famicom edition GB micro that I really regret selling now.

  • Both Everdrive Sucks! Plug It In & Play TV Games are better!

  • @rescuehero942 *Everdrives suck

I'm not sure what you think is wrong with them, they just play games. I wouldn't buy one personally, just because I don't play that many games, but they're sure as Hell better than Plug n' Plays.

  • I hope that Everdrive is more reliable than those Supercard's for GBA . My is not working anymore :( Everdrive is good for games you don't have or is hard to find but those games on micro SD are still a pirate games that's for sure. Normally i don't like pirate cartridges with single maybe incomplete game but i do like those type of cartridges like Everdrive because you can download games for free. And i would like to have Everdrive for N64. That Everdrive look's so legit really good design.

  • @prulcan My Everdrive has been bang on since I got it and I've played hundreds of Genesis games on it. I think it's pretty well built and should last a long time.

  • i'm hoping a neo geo pocket everdrive is made :D

  • And there will be an EverDrive360 soon right?

  • @MisterMinnesota

by the time they make that every 360 does not work anymore ;P

  • that is seriously awesome stuff Jake

  • You should do a review of the PC Engine Flash Cart, it is just as good as the everdrive, expect that it can only hold 128M of data, there was on 94 TG 16 games released, but you can play JAP games also, its pretty sweet.

  • Are there any plans for a gameboy version?

  • What type of firmware features could they possibly add to make it better?

  • Wheres the Everdrive 64?

  • @ScReWaTtAcKeD Not out yet it's comming soon.

  • @MN12BIRD Ill definately get one if they have it for the N64

  • That came with a ton more stuff than my Everdrive for my fabulous 16-bit Sega® Genesis Video Entertainment System. You must have paid a lot more for this stuff. How much more did you pay for this compared to what it would cost from some place else? I'm still waiting for the TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine Everdrive. Make it happen for me, bird man!

  • @MrGameSack My EverDrive and the EverDrive you can buy now from Stone Age Gamer comes with a shell with sticker, clam case with custom art, the firmware upgrade coupons and a 2GB SD card unless you buy just the base board. Many of the EverDrive units are sold with the option to get the whole kit ready to go or just the circuit board that you have to put into your own cart shell. But anyway no one else sells these in North America cheaper than Stone Age Gamer anyway.

  • I'd like to see this product for Amiga 500/C64

  • Coupon code is the sticker so if you cut it wrong you cant use it.. I LOLed. That thing looks cool man how much did you pay for it? top quality... I need one of those in my life.

  • @pokefan4357 Yeah Pete asked me awhile ago and I said I would. I'm down when I have free time so who knows I could be someday.

  • @MN12BIRD I dont believe the AllGenGamers podcast has had a episode where its focused primarily on Sega. You could do a great service by giving your 2 cents about Sega.

  • @TehUberCyberBeast Holly crap the Neo Geo hardcore loyalists would shit bricks!

  • ya, i'll just keep chugging along with my jailbroken psp and the emulators for snes, sms, nes,gg,sega cd and genesis. everyone has their own thing but it seems like alot of trouble and money. i'm fucking thrilled with the sega cd theme back though !!!

  • You need a tripod man, you need one baaaaaaaaad :|

  • @Snotnarok LOL I have one I just hardly ever use it ;)

  • @MN12BIRD You should, your hand is gonna fall off trying to play games 1 handed haha.

  • @Snotnarok LOL did you type :| as in the MSN staring face? If so yes... just yes you win hahaha.

  • I hope they make an everdrive virtual boy

  • I NEED THE N64 DRIVE I JUST NEED A N64

  • They need to make one for the GBA, so that way you can have all Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance games.

  • I wonder what the pack-in game was. SMB again?

  • @ultimateshadowx9 D'oh I forgot to check before flashing Streets of Rage II in there. Might have had something in there now I don't know!

  • @MN12BIRD It seems odd that they don't provide a backup ROM on the SD. Ahwell, maybe pursuade StoneAgeGamer lol.

  • There is an easy fix for your GameGear. Just replace the caps in it.

  • I wish technology was this good when I was a kid I was happy with Atari when I was young. Oh well at least this stuff is out now that I'm older LOL

  • Those everdrives kickass Tnks for the review bird.

  • I wonder how many times you can flash the internal memory chip before it fails...

  • @nanquan491 Most likely you wouldn't live long enough to find out unless you were flashing a new game 50 times a day or had a bad chip.

  • Really wish there was something similar for the Atari Lynx, I'm sure somebody could design one. I don't play my Game Gear as i have an emulator on my PSP, however Lynx emulation is really poor, its a downer because i love my lynx.

  • What you do for living?

  • i'm gonna order the 3 sega everdrives once i get a job

  • Hi, I've got two questions. Is there any Game Gear clone system that you've heard of, and will EverDrive work with it (that's assuming this clone has standard Game Gear cartridge slot, not SD)?

  • @errorate Game Gear clone system? I am not sure one exists. Unless you consider the Majesco a clone. Yes it does work on the Majesco.

  • i see what looks like an lpc port (well the pads for one) odds are the fermware is direct programed to the flash chip through that. Same as the old xbox

  • Can u use mastersystem games on this card? The gamegear is bc with SMS games.

  • @gustoThegangsta Yes it can play SMS games on the Game Gear.

  • @stoneagegamer damn this is great!

  • I have a Supercard for the Gameboy Advance. It plays all gameboy games from the original GB to GBA. It also plays NES and Sega Game Gear games. Just load the ROMs on a micro SD card and you're good to go. I've had it for two years and it works perfectly. Loads the ROMS very fast. No wait time at all compared to your Everdrive GG. Save states and SRAM are supported and work well. It was $20 US.

  • Being one of those people who could never get N64 emulation to work properly for whatever reason, I welcome the news of a flash cart, especially to save me the obscene mark ups some of the more popular games get on the Internet.

And I'm totally buying the one for the SNES as well, playing those games with a keyboard or another systems controller via USB just feels so wrong when I have the real thing sitting, underused, in a closet.

  • I love these new cart' hacks, breathing life into older systems.

  • Do you have a job? if so what kind

  • I want them to make one for GBA

  • I am not getting one till there is a N64 one.

  • I want to get an original Game Gear, but that is a cool system their.

  • i still need a game gear

  • I hope there's a Everdrove for the Atari Jaguar, that would be a must buy for me!

  • The supereverdrive is a lot better than the snes powerpak, which costs a fair bit more, it might load roms a little faster, but the supereverdrive has authomatic sram save while the powerpak you have to reset the console then you can save it.

  • Never heard of it before. Sounds like a good video game system though.

  • my video camera ( i use ) has a microsd apdater so i could use a microsd card

  • EverDrive N64 + Ura Zelda hack = greatest thing ever made ever ever ever

  • Thats so cool! If someone would of told me the ever drive would of exist in the future when the Game Gear was still new, my head would of probably exploded like that unlucky guy in scanners! Awesome video, good job!

  • Everdrive 64 coming out soon!

  • Package in a package in a package.... PACKCEPTION!

  • @IonizedOdds lol good one man

  • I think your subscribers should all chip in to buy you a tripod. Lol.

  • @Justin10473 I like the guerrilla or gonzo camera thing. Adds personality!

  • @Justin10473 The sad thing is I have a tripod but for whatever reason didn't use it. Laziness probably.

  • That would be great if they were able to make a dongle cart that let you play your gg games on your tv. I would love to be able to record the actual games instead of just emulators.

  • @TheUnbiasedGamer Yeah that would be cool. I've seen a few modded Game Gears with AV output and a controller port to use SMS controllers but I doubt that's an easy mod.

  • @MN12BIRD Yeah i've seen that to. I heard it's really hard to do.

  • stupid fucking sub box... this showed up way too long after it was posted

  • Great upload! Did you become a Youtube partner when we weren't looking? What's up with the 16+ minutes videos? oO

  • @AlphaGodDamn4 Not a partner but I think some people now have beyond a 15 minute limit for some reason... not too sure why but I do now.

  • @MN12BIRD the reason you have an unlimited time limit (yes its really unlimited) is because you've had a youtube account for a few years and its in good standing-the same thing happened to my account but i'm not a partner by any means

  • Surprised you have a Game Gear with a working speaker.

  • Hopefully a GBA one will come out (GBA/GBC/GB)

  • I can't wait for the Nintendo 64 flashcart my favorite system.

  • ill wait for a n64 one I was thinking of buying a the snes one tell I got a Wii

  • RETURN OF THE SEGA CD THEME =D

    YAYYYYYYYYYYYY!

  • @joshbot360 I was about to post the same :P

  • these things are so cool.....i want one for SNES, Genesis & Game Gear (along with a working Game Gear LOL)

  • I didn't even know these existed.........
