  • this bloke talks like he's breathing in the fumes, he needs to crack a window

  • @Joneperry, yes you will be fine with aluminum heads. I would prefer distilled but it takes a lot to do any damage due to minerals or added subs in regular water. You will be fine, I would still use regular water even if I have a new car.

  • Lol vv

  • idk why but hes talking like a robot??

  • hahaha...yes, run the car with the garage door closed >:) good...good...

  • What I cannot figure out is do you drain all the fluid out then you turn on the water hose then start the vehicle as the water is going through the system that's the way I take it? or what?

  • @Waltermarines89, you have remove top radiator hose, water is put in through the reservoir housing, start the motor and then flush for 5 mins. This only flushes the coolant inside the motor. After this, move hose to the radiator, the one you already disconnected, and disconnect the bottom hose on the other end of the radiator, this will flush the radiator itself. Reconnect hoses and add coolant in reservoir.

  • @Joneperry, distilled is better, but the added chemicals in the coolant fights back the protection to machined parts. Regular is fine to use. Cooling system is only more heathy if you use distilled.

  • @JeepJKRiders @xX4monX4m4rthXx my head is aluminum, would you still run the risk if you were me, I am debating because otherwise if i dont flush with tap water, i will have to buy an air compressor from Sears or something and a water pump to pump distilled water from gallon jugs from Giant

  • UM what the hell, you used regular water to flush and not distilled? Am I mistaken, because I thought the ions in the regular water destroy the machined surfaces?

  • @joneperry not on the materials used in the engine area, they get treated by either powder coat or simple heat treat. then with that done to them, they sometimes passivate to stop oxidation so it realy isnt that bad depending on the area you live in and the treatments in the water near you. but i would allways rec. distilled.

  • So basically i have to buy a new heater hose because you have to cut it right?? in order to do this proceedure

  • Thank you Nathan. I have learned alot from you over the years.

  • in this clip.... (SHOTGUN COCKED)

  • this guy doing the tutorial is stoned, for sure

  • how many fucking videos does one need to make to show how to flush a fucking radiator cooling system!?!?!?!

  • @Supra00717 shut ur fat mouth

  • is this a joke?

  • what if my heater is not working?

  • is this true for all vehicles? i drive a BMW

  • great now i have to find cornet67's comment

  • "In this clip..."

  • Our mechanic is named Nathaniel too!

  • Is it cold or are you just wearing that hat to look cool? Because it looks retarded, just as much as you sound.

  • @BackdoorPlumber HAHAHAHAHAH!!! I was thinking the same thing hahahahaha

  • were did you get the parts to use on flushing the system

  • Very expert indeed this village, fucck! So to flush your cooling system all you have to do is to find somewhere in your engine a gasket with a back flow preventer valve connector, attach a garden hose in it, open the tap and .... voilá ..... the system is flushed. Oh, boy.

  • the proper way is to keep flushing until the water is clear. 5 min doesn't mean anything.

  • what a douche

  • That is the proper way to add tap water into the cooling system......

  • GARY!!!???

  • YOU STUPID FUCK AT LEAST REMOVE THE THERMOSTAT YOU I FEEL BAD FOR EVERYONE WHO LISTENS TO THIS GUY

  • @monsterholics maybe he dont know that information, be patient man.

  • in this clip were going to smoke a doobie....lmao, j/k thanks for the "clip"

  • in this clip :P

  • @legendmove I believe you meant to direct your question to @carloslebaron

  • @ 1:22 the "T" is leaking is that normal?

  • Did he say "force it all the way through the very FART of the cooling system" @ about the 56 second mark?

  • good video Nathan, but why is the garage door closed? Won't you get sick from all those carbon monoxide fumes? Hopefully you have an open garage door at the rear of the vehicle. SAFETY FIRST! yeah, it is a felony to drain your coolant into the street. Cats and dogs might drink it and die.......

  • RAAAAPIIIIIIST!!!!

  • Must be tough for that car in the winter, having no hood and all.

  • Is it really necessary to flush it? The video is so confusing. Why u keep switching camera not letting us see the actual work?

  • @legendmove yes, coolant needs/should be flushed if it's older than 36000 miles/3 years. If you do not flush the coolant it will allow rust etc to build up, coolant usually has additives to help maintain the system. It's recommended that you change it.

  • @WalterTramontana Thanks. Are you talking about heater core?

  • Yes, you must flush the cooling system. The contaminants may start to storage in a radiator located under the dash of your car. If this radiator -which warms up and brings heat when you turn the heat On- starts to built corrosion and develop a hole, you will start to smell the hot antifreeze and worst, to have a leak which will be noticeable and will stain your floor carpet. Replacing this radiator is a lot of work besides the cost. It is better to flush the colling system. My regards.

  • @carloslebaron yeah its called a heater core

  • In this clip! In this clip!

  • wait.........he has an assistant lol?

  • @LosBanosF250 prolly has good ventilation i know i turn my vehicles on in my garage and i have a great ventilation system

  • @nightdevil6666 and an exhaust hose running to the outside of the shop.

  • @LosBanosF250 lmao!

  • @LosBanosF250 LMFAO!!!!

  • Oh Shit... I don't have an assistant to turn on my water hose.... will there be another expert video to instruct on how to obtain an assistant?

  • ANOTHER USELESS EV VID....

  • He so obviously forgets to explain where he screws the hose in. which makes the video utterly pointless .It is for people who know how to do it anyway

  • @tincoffin theres another vid for that

  • @tincoffin I thought the same thing until i watched his previous clip.

How to Flush Coolant : Connecting a Back Flow Prevention Valve ..he explains clearly in this clip.

  • @remo006 & jojo4rmdab ronx Yes thanks for that.

  • now just let the whole thing rust now cause I used garden water, nice.

  • more bad and incorrect advice from expert village - they really are a joke.

    RATED ZERO

They spam youtube with videos to make money, nothing else.

  • please remove words from video so we can see what you are doing

  • @jdubboost Youtube does this automatically for deaf people or people who want subtitles. Click the button in the bottom left-hand corner of the video that says "CC" and you can turn it off.

  • hey fuck face you should remove this video, don't be claiming your way to be the correct way when it's actually not. Go make a video of yourself jumping off a cliff, even a moron like you won't be able to fuck that video up, which ever way you do it it's the correct way.

  • This guy is a real fucken numbnut, he run his engine with the garage door close, and you're not suppose to put tap water in your radiator, the tech manual tells you too use distilled water or demineriz water, otherwise it will shorten the life if your radiator. So many stupid fucker on youtube who claim they know how to do shit the correct way, always refer back to your car's tech manual for the real proper ways to things.

  • @masterflex300 I thought since this was for flushing you use just regular water to take all the junk out. Then you put in anti-freeze and water. 50/50

  • hi i'm johnny knoxville. this is called the coolant flush.

  • 1: You didn't mention that the back flush hose attachment needs to be purchased and fitted to the hose.

2: You are running an engine in a closed space. Garage door is down! Not a great idea.

As for the idiotic comment below about throwing the old antifreeze on his neighbors bushes.

Try working in a veterinary office when they bring in a cat or dog that has licked the sweet tasting antifreeze.

    The result is often DEATH.

  • THIS VIDEO SUCKS DICKK

  • cant i just unscrew the bottom of the radiator and put the hose in the top?

  • @OKINAWA78 That wont really flush it. It will just get most of the water out of your radiator. What this does is clean everything out of your engine and radiato. A lot of coolant stays in your engine and I think thats where the rust can form, if there is any.

Anyway, this method you let it run until the water comes out clear. That way you know it's nice and clean inside.

  • @OKINAWA78 You could but that would just clean the radiator. You need it to flush the entire system, which travels through the engine to cool it down.

  • how the fuck did you do that? he doesnt even show

  • Daft question but I wasn't clear on it, is that hose just going into the coolant header tank from the filling hole? I was flushing individual parts (engine, rad, pipes) without the engine running obviously but this looks a better way.

  • I think he had a garage door open but not the big overhead garage door open lol

Sooo He had to have one door open to get the hose in lol or he might have just run it though a window haha : o Still I know he inhaled lots of Emissons that are unhealthy lol....

  • Does expert village just get homeless people to make their videos?

Better than the usual videos at least - at least hes not depressed or anything.

  • lol at when he would say this " In this clip "

Cracked me up both times lol..

In this clip.. then 5 seconds later... In this clip lol..

Oh also need to open a garage door lol.. Corbon monoxide lol

  • So you obviously don't mind replacing the old ,dirty coolant with your hose water that will eventually rust out the radiator? Needs to be distilled champ...

  • at 59: he says "FART" listen for it an lemme kno if im jus hearing things??? lol

  • Comment removed

  • @MrLoganReasor Nope, it's definitely fart and I think he said it because at 0:19 he actually farts!! Too funny!!!

  • @Xmtndude

the drain plug is open so the water and old antifreeze drains into the bucket. now the systems empty you put ur new antifreeze in

  • good, you got the coolant out, now how do you get the water out?

  • GO NATE !

  • what am i missing here??? turn the car on and warm up, then turn on the hose with COLD water running through a HOT engine??? got cracked head???

  • this tech looks like he does his share in smoking doobies

  • Ok already ! We all know the garage door is closed ! Stupid people sheeshe !

  • @TheRickRod.....omg your right, why is it i can see in the next segment there is no one there to speak in the next segment....dude

  • i got a quesiton what fo you have for that tube where did you get that?? i need that to do tommorow or do from the bottom i own camaro

  • This guys Is awesome...should do a cable show.. then end up on the power block!

  • yo this guy is too professional in his video loosen up a bit,he be like in this clip in this clip we gonna talk about the proper way procedure lol

  • @hp11208 You should consider that maybe he is making this video to get to as many audiences as possible. Not everybody can hear or see perfectly but they should be allowed to access this information as well. The lack of slang in this video is refreshing.

  • Lol is it safe to be in a garage thats closed wit a runnin car?

  • In this clip....Every time I hear that from these videos I think of "In the beginning..."

  • u talk like a robot in first 15 seconds

  • @ flintstone..me thinks you protest 2 much. Why are u looking that hard @ him..hell, im a woman and i watched the video and slightly noticed his garagewear. he's very attractive and has nice straight teeth..the hat is the least of my concern when im watching to do my flush or admire his looks. maybe, the neg. name calling should start with u...dont hate because you dont look as pretty. Male on Male hatred...thats so childish! Go do your own vid

  • This guy seems really cool ha

  • lol, was that car on with the garage door closed?

  • in this clip, in this clip, in this clip

lmao ive seen alot of your videos and you alwasy say that hahah

  • This guy is a prick. I'd love to sock him in the face.

  • STONER!!!!

  • NICE AND SHAVED!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAAAA

  • Great how to! I just have one question, what do you do with the water that comes through the system? Do you have to take it to someone special or just dump it in your neighbors yard? :)

  • You can dump it in my neighbor's yard.

But you should actually take it to a recycler. Any quick lube center should take it for you free.

  • Please help me. Thanks in advance.

(Note: I have no chance to take my car to another service because of its motor guarntee)

  • Hello, I drive a 2006 mini cooper and coolant fluid finishes continuously. I have to refill it everyday. Car service changed the radiator tap. But the problem could not be solved. I took my car service twice and they could not get rid of the problem. I saw water under the reservoir but I am very bad at understanding car mechanics since i am a girl :(

Do you think that I need to flush engine coolant? guarantee)

  • don't know if you solved your pblm: most likely a hose is leaking, tell them to pressure check the cooling system..but curious why you say fluid finishes...can't really know well if you are losing coolant unless you check it before on a cold engine. also, you would know since your car overheats...(the gauge by the speedometer would show the temperature of the engine rising.. if that is happening, defintely have it looked over..

  • 1. Steve89z is right, unless you removed the thermostat b4 doing this.

    2. Isn't the water pump pumping with the engine on and going against the flow?

  • might want to open your garage bud , u know the carbon monoxide and all

  • i was gonna say the same thing

  • the way he talks is so annoying

  • Thank you. You service a cooling system properly! Most idiots just drain old coolant without properly flushing the old stuff properly, thus causing a chemical reaction. You rock!

  • is that a ford ranger you are working on?

  • you don't want any tap water in the system at all.1.drain radiator and block,2. add distiiled water through the expansion tank, close drain, start engine, put heat on,let it reach normal temp, then drain, let cool then add 50/50 coolant.use distilled water throughout.i use the 5 year universal stuff.

  • nathan is that your real name

  • did he take the thermostat out?

  • Comment removed

  • the thermostat does not open with cold water running through it! only opens when operating temp is reached.

  • Guys, this is just a demonstration, so use your common sense and open your garage door if you are doing it inside!.

USE YOUR COMMON SENSE and shut up.

  • running the engine with the garage door closed?! A "Darwin award" case?!

  • he sounds monotone in the beginning.

and i thought your weren't supposed to use hose water to flush the the radiator?

  • Not true.

  • Bucket? I just flush mine into my neighbors bushes.

  • LMAO

  • LOL

  • @coronet67 hahahaa

  • @coronet67 hahha

  • @coronet67 Cool kill the neighbour hood pets.

  • @coronet67 I throw it at my neighbours wife, she's always horny

  • What do you do to the flush fill tee after you cut the hoses? And do you leave it in the car permanently?

  • I hate expertvillage when they uploaded all these videos in parts without number.. why?! to get more ads clicks?! so annoying!

  • yea hes doing it right except the part where you want to drain the radiator so you can make it a 50/50 mix oh and the part where he leaves the garage closed lol

  • What the fuck?

This is ridiculous. He skipped about a dozen steps.

  • They should rename this channel to " RETARD VILLAGE "

  • he said turn the heat on which brings all the hot air in the inside of the car and the engine is cooler

  • Heater on so coolant runs through heater hoses.

  • y would u run cold water through a hot engine.. thats how u crack things

  • The thing is... is that it isn't a hot engine. Also, the engine would never get warm enough while running with garden hose water running through it. Now if you were driving on the highway for a while, and THEN you hooked a garden hose to it, then yeah, it would crack the block. Nothing happens when you start with a cool engine though, as you should do anyway.

  • not really, a marine engine is just like a car engine but it runs water through it instead of anti freeze....only the larger marine engines use anti freeze

  • well don't forget that the water is constantly fresh no less likely to build up contamination. It might even be a different type of water pump, I'm not sure.

  • Damn it... Kyle beat me to it... Once the hose is turned on, what we wanna do is step inside the car, and take a nap.... Man I'm getting tired..... Oh, maybe I should have opened the Garage Door..... A 3.5 GPA, but you didn't know to open the garage door first??? LMAO!!!

  • good video, but if your starting your car shouldn't you have the garage door open? Don't wanna die from the carbon monoxide.

  • the part he didnt show you is that you have to cut the coolant hose in half to put in the little tri piece in that hooks up to the garden hose, which by the the way is the worst way to flush your coolant since you would have mineral deposits from the tap water which in turn ruins your intire cooling system. my advice would be to take your vehicle in to professionals and have it done right instead of this "shade tree machanic" bullshit

  • Most DEALERS mix tap water with coolant.....

  • I agree; a good shop would have water filtration.

  • Is it easy to drain and refill a coolant? I need these services done to my automobile.

  • well really your still going to have some of the tap water left in the system anyway it's not going to be completly 100% tap water free unless you buy heaps of distilled water and start flushing the whole system with that, it depends on how good and clean your tap water quality is...I have just recently changed a radiator that has been in the car since 1982it's 26 years old basicially was so old it was crumbling and bought a new one, but it was allways ran on clean tap water and basic coolant.

  • Tap water is fine for the flushing process.

You then drain it out and refill with the proper 50/50 mix of coolant.

Tap water doesn't do it's damage that fast it only does damage when left in the cooling system indefinately.

  • Let us remember this is just flushing the cooling system not draining and refilling with 50/50 mix. You must do this or you will BLOW your engine with just water. You can pick up a coolant flush kit at any auto parts store. Once you install it you can use it again and again without removing it.

  • Opening the garage door (to vent carbon monoxide) is also a good idea.

  • ahahahhahahahh!!!!!good, right and funny!

  • ohhhh yahhh... not helpful at all son...wtf son....
