  • how much did the conversion cost? I was told it would cost over 12k just to do this .. did you change the drivetrain ? does it have a turbo ? howmuch power are you putting down what ECU did you use? oh man somany questions LOL

  • @Tem120 If you take it to a shop it will cost you around that. I did it all under 3 k for the carb engine now i have a turbo II half bridge with a t04 in it and cost me less than that bec i build my own engines, Im installing a power fc havent tuned it yet

  • @maliy8 It sounds nice if you know a bit about rotaries. It sounds rough because it's peripheral ported - which also makes it very powerful. To people who like rotaries it music to their ears - it's the sound of power!

  • Hi again I have mine running seems to sound alright I have a short video of it before my camera went flat you can see it have a look at my videos.

    Ill post some more videos when I get my camera charged and video the manifold, its a bit different to your setup from what I can see on your video,

  • @757vargas Have another look at my videos again I have posted another of it running now I have charged my camera, I have done about 20 miles in it so far, the wideband is telling me the primary circuit is too lean especially at idle and at idle it must be running on the primary circuit because I don't seem to be able to adjust the mixture at all with the needles, so I think I might have to do a bit of jetting but there is no surprises there, I still have to have a play with ignition timing,

  • @aerobubb1 god I miss the sound of a PP yea that set up looks pretty good how does it run at high rpms and up to what rpms does it get to mine got to 10500 RPM's on two msd 6als and a holley 750 the jets were primaries 72 secondaries 74

  • @757vargas Its currently only getting to about 8500rpm, I just drove it down to our local dyno shop and had a talk to them about tuning it, and they were pretty happy to work with me to get it right so Im going to take the venturi's out some more, at the moment they are 1mm over size so Ill try some 2mm over size and see if I can drag another 500 to 1000rpm out of it, But today Im going to put a varex electric muffler on it so I don't get hassled by the cops while im on the road!

  • Yeah that would be great to get some pictures, I have half finished my manifold today, I know I am not going to get much out of the engine with the nikki on it, I would just like to run it a few times in the nikki class and see if I could take the record which stands at 13.6seconds for 1/4 mile, If you could email me at aerobubb1@hotmail.com with some pics that would be great, Ill send you some pics of this project, cheers from Stu

  • Have you got any videos of it driving? Im building a 12a pp with a modified nikki 4 barrel, just building the manifold for it today which isn't that simple, Im building it for a class that we run here in NZ at the rotary only drags, I will build an IDA manifold also so I can swap between them for different classes.

    How does it go?

  • @aerobubb1 no i didnt take a video of me driving it making the manifold for the holley was really hard but i can take some pics of it since i took the engine out and put a turbo II 13b bridged the port with a TO4 T61, the 12a started leaking compression into the water jackets and i dont know if a nikki is going to be enough for the pp i had to put a holley 750

    Engine cost around 3k thats with carb intake and all

  • youll have problems with that holley on there especialy with that manifold .ida is that way to go

  • @Buzzn808 yea i already did changed the holley for another one with racing float bowls and the plate on the secondaries runs way better now thisis when i first started it and was working out the kinks engine bay is way cleaner bigger radiator ect
