yes it is and for the price it is not bad.On this video i had just bought it and was using it plugged into my mixer but i am using it through a great little effects pedal on my latest video Troika Dance and the pedal (Zoom GX1) takes away the slight hiss that you get off the pick up. The pedal also has some great effects like wa wa which is interesting on a violin.
