  • Watch more puroresu(Japan wrestling)Stan Hansen is the king of LARIAT.Fuck Clothesline.

  • Slick!!!!!!!!! 0:26

  • Wrestling post 2002 sucks

  • I forgot about that tag team. On the WWF ARCADE video game they were better than the legion of doom. Im talking about big boss man and the arab dude. But the rockers were pretty awesome too

  • I thought it said Gayest Clothesline Ever

    LOL

  • Damn, he didn't even need to get a running start.

  • I agree, everytime i watch WM5, i always watch this part like 3 or 4 times.

  • Any wrestling from about 2002 and on is non-canon wrestling to me.

  • I love listing to Gorilla! (0:13 - 0:17) "Jess we have one guest referee here today, you wanna be another one?... RELAX!!" ..... Jessie "THE BODY" / Gorilla Monsoon / Bobby "The Brain" Heenan... The 3 Best commentators EVER. If one of these three were'nt commentating any given pay-per view, I could'nt careless about what was goin on in the ring!!

  • @lemontoalime Couldnt agree more. Thats why are loved Wrestlemanias 4 5 and 6 so much Gorrila and Jessie. Royal rumble 1989 is hilarious also

  • Vader did stiffer clotheslines....my 2 cents

  • shawn micheals Holy Shit the man could sell

  • ROFLMAO!! Jesse Ventura's commentary is fucking priceless!

  • Big Sal From ECW would easily beat that one out. What other 500+ man do you know that can springboard and hit a shoulder block and a clothesline.

  • Wow, that just might be the best clothesline ever. Anyone else watch it about 15 times?

  • @xraycat30 I did. :D

  • shawn's overselling was one of the reasons i became a fan....best was when he first became hbk and would get catapulted into the corner by an opponent and almost hop in the air before flopping on his face..

  • lol @ people who watch something like this and think the guy throwing the clothesline is the one making it look good.

    Nice sell, Shawn.

  • That is Shaun Michaels at his best. Selling a great move. Wow

  • shawn michael is one of the best sellers in the wwe history.

  • I believe he irritated Akeem!

  • pause at 18 seconds and you will see the first ever vertical plank :)

  • One Man Gang(Akeem) nearly killing Shawn Michaels "Stan Hansen Lariat" style actually strikes me as something that Shawn probably deserved for being the huge prick he is well documented as having been.

  • @wheresthecustom Agreed. He didnt sell that, Akeem blasted his punk ass

  • @frednichols what? are you a retard? you can clearly see that he makes himself land on his stomach, logicically anyone would just fall back down to their back morons

  • @rhynokav LOL

  • @wheresthecustom Actually, it's documented that Shawn didn't become a bitter prick until 96-97. He just sold this clothsline very well.

  • damn look @ big boss mans beer gut lol

  • whoever said wrestling was fake

  • I don't know. I was always a fan of the double clothesline that someone did to the Rockers once. It was Barbarian or Warlord, I THINK at a Survivor Series, and they BOTH sold it with huge flips.

  • fuck shawn was arrogant for a reason, he sold that so well

  • @rhynokav He didnt sell that shit. He got blasted because he was a punk

  • Damn! He got knocked the fuck out!

  • that was a stiff ass lariat.

  • Stan Hansen/

  • i fuckin love wrestling. people give me shit all the time, but i FUCKING LOVE IT

  • looks like his neck snaps

  • Leave it to Shawn to make someone look great again

  • Jim Cornette is right, we have gone from a time where wrestlers were not hurting themselves and people were believing it to a time where every wrestler is hurting themselves and no-one is believing it! This was the best time in wrestling history and this clip shows how you don't need to do flying somersaults through burning tables to sell a move. Great contrast of styles too.

  • Wrestlemania V was the first wrestling tape I ever bought back in 1991 or 1992, and I can still remember watching in absolute awe as I saw this particular moment. A friend from across the street came over to watch one day, and he kept having me rewind to that clothesline every time Shawn landed from that tremendous sell. There's no telling how many times we watched it before we continued with the rest of the match.

  • even the over weight wrestlers from this era can put on a great match wayyy better than some of WWE matches today

  • JBL appoves this video

  • press 4

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • "I believe he irritated Akeem"--that's an understatement Jessie.

  • awesome sell by HBK

  • wow the guy sold that clothesline so well

  • I miss Gorilla Monsoon. With all due respect to Jim Ross, Gorilla Monsoon was the best at calling wrestling matches, in my opinion.

  • @TomSmall3 i agree. yet, for some weird reason, monsoon was voted the worst announcer in wrestling 4 consecutive years.

  • @panch0bill Gimme a break!

  • @TomSmall3 no chance in hell. JR, Joey Styles, and of course Gordon Solie all rank above Monsoon. Even without those guys, I still probably wouldn't vote for Monsoon. Something about his announcing style just rubs me the wrong way.

  • @dciguy01

    Bullcrap.

Gorilla and Jesse = greatest commentary team in wrestling history. The chemistry they had together was unbelievable, and every match they called felt IMPORTANT because they were calling it. Gorilla was fantastic with Heenan as his partner, too.

  • @garethac81 : Well, for PPVs anyway they were. The Monsoon/Ventura combination was good because you had to guys how both were eloquent speakers, had good chemistry, and both had their own charisma. It was a unique perspective because that could help us relate to how it feels in the ring being two legends themselves. Monsoon knew just about every hold that existed, and every body part. Ventura would for the most part stay unbiased when with Monsoon which made it more intriguing..

  • This clothesline is great but I love the top rope clothesline that barbarian gave Tito Santana at wm6.its perfect in every way

  • The Powers Of Pain? Wow, now I feel old, hahahaha. I don't remember Bossman being this huge back in the day, though!

  • Yeah, Dolph Ziggler is the only one today who could possibly sell as well as this. Though I will say that even though she's retired and she's a woman, the way Trish Stratus sold Christian's clothesline back in '04 was pretty damn good too.

  • @DSGodiva Its a shame Stratus isnt full time anymore. She was one of the few lady wrestlers - along with Lita and Victoria i belive, but especially Trish - that were better wrestlers than most men

  • This 0:37 clip was better than last week's entire episode of MondayNightRaw

  • Love One Man Gang...one of the greatest and most underrated "big men" of all time.

  • beauty

  • Does anyone want a peanut?

  • Akeem found Shawn Michaels masturbating into his gym bag when he wanted HBK to jack off into his coffee instead. Shawn Michaels also owed Akeen over 500,000 dollars in back pay because Shawn stole all of Akeem's money and his family. HBK's current wife and kids are really Akeem's family. Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker ruin lives. It's just like how the Undertaker stole all of Ric Flair's money and his family and that's why Flair has to wrestle 300 times a year for TNA to pay off Taker's bills.

  • lol wow he even over sold back then... I thank you..lol

  • @MySpaceSuckx he oversold it? that's debatable... that thing looked nasty. if anything, i'd say he reacted appropriately. that shit would hurt, i don't care who you are.

  • @ku62jo62 just flicking ur nut hairs my friend just flicking ur nut hairs lol

  • I miss Gorilla Monsoon on commentary.

There was a certain something in his voice that I just can't specify, but it made those years so wonderful as a young wrestling fan. I need to start buying me up some of those classic WWE PPV's on DVD.

  • "I believe he irritated Akeem...." Jesse was awesome.

  • Rumor has it that Brodus Clay was inspired for his gimmick by the Jive Soul Bro!

  • No wonder Shawn is cross-eyed now.

  • /watch?v=EEOCuHTfeQI&list=FLAKX4H14w72PUwNCtxlvnDQ&index=9&feature=plpp_video

  • That's how you become a hall of famer, get clotheslined like that and you can only go uphill from there

  • thumbs up if you are 40,819 visitor

  • DAMN you could hear that.

  • He rocked a Rocker.

  • I wonder what effect that clothesline would have had on Andre the Giant or the Undertaker.

  • thumbs up for #4 :)

  • Comment removed

  • Ah back in the good ol' days of WWF.

  • @latinostvmundial You could definitely make an argument for both of those guys.

  • Looks like he broke his neck snap

  • Now that's how you sell something, pay attention Cena, and learn something from Ziggler. Damn, Michaels looked like he was out cold right after he hit the mat.

  • @mjames8374: Blah, blah, blah, shut up you stupid troll.

  • amazing but kane and undertaker can do that better maybe

  • Got damn, Bossman was FAT

  • There's no clothesline in this video.

  • technically a Lariat, but still awesome :D

  • The genius of this clothesline is in Shawn Michaels selling it like a fucking champ. Has there ever been a better seller in pro wrestling? I would be hard pressed to think of one.

  • @frrrrrunkis I don't know. What about the Ultimate Warrior?

  • @frrrrrunkis dolph ziggler can sell pretty good too.

  • @frrrrrunkis Mr. Perfect was as good, if not better

  • @RHeckman00 Absolutely right about Mr. Perfect...

  • wow big boss was fatter than i remembered

  • Ah, the good'ol days when a fat fuck could make a career out of stiff shotting the smaller, athletic wrestlers.

  • Keep pressing 4 for instant replay.

  • @00:16 holy crap, what a clothesline!

  • keep pressing 4 for amazing clothsline

  • OMG that was Shawn Michaels !!

  • This Is Why Shawn Michaels Is the Man! lol

  • Wow a great one, seems like 4 people got hit by that

  • The only guy from the current era of WWE I know that can sell a clothesline like this is Dolph Ziggler.

  • @dciguy01 tell ya a secret...... when you clothesline somebody FOR REAL they don't have to sell it. as evidenced from this video.

  • @dciguy01 evan bourne

  • @JackyRBKwan I would agree with you if he weren't suspended (and about to be future endeavored)

  • @dciguy01 U forgot Evan Bourne

  • @stuvvi suspended (and soon to be future endeavored) wrestlers don't count.

  • @dciguy01

I Think you guys forget JBL's clothline from Hell ....??? Batista also admit that JBL's Clothline from hell is the ony finisher which he never want to face...

  • @0000RaYYaN0000 we aren't talking about who has the best clothesline. We're talking about who sells a clothesline the best.

  • I remember watching this LIVE off PPV back in the late 80s. Where the heck did the time go?

  • @philaman1972 I remember that match, too. The rockers were still some what new, but it was the 1st PPV for the Towers. The Rockers dominated that whole match (maybe 10-12 minutes) until that hellacious clothesline. LOL.

  • @ThePhantomCreature: No, their first PPV together was Survivor Series 88. Team Megapowers (Hulk/Savage/Koko/Hercules/Hillbilly Jim) d. Team Twin Towers (Bossman/Akeem/Dibiase Sr./Haku/Red Rooster).

  • Keep pressing 7.

  • U guys know the guy who sold it is HBK? ;] thumbs up for HBK!

  • Bradshaw had a mean clothesline

  • Good clothesline, PERFECT sell. Wonderful execution.

  • Press 4.

    Your welcome

  • GOOD GOD!

  • Can rememeber having a VHS of Wrestlemania 5, and when I 1st saw this clothline I just thought "wow"! it is definatly the best clothsline by far.

  • just like in Wrestlemania 2000 on N64 lol

  • Love how Ventura says that Gorilla Monsoons son is an idiot and he just play it off hehe

  • Ive always maintained that this was the greatest clothesline ever!! Never been able to watch it just once lol always have to rewind. I love Monsoons reaction.

  • LARIATTO!

  • Shawn Michaels is one of the best wrestlers to sell moves in the history of WWE.

He is one of the best wrestler...PERIOD!

  • keep pressing 4 to see shawn michaels head get taken off by Akeem aka.One man gang.

  • Fun fact-according to Shawn's book from a few years back, both he and Marty were very hungover during this match as a result of having too much fun from the night before. Considering this event didnt start until 4:00pm, that must have been one hell of a hangover!

  • @jahpsu981: Had it existed at the time, the Rockers would NOT have qualified for the Straight Edge Society.

  • That was a good clothesline but I think my favorite was when Demolition Ax clotheslined Marty Janetty on SNME then pinned him in 1990.

  • Greatest Clothesline SELL ever.

  • drew...

  • 4 people thought it was a real clothes line

  • nobody could sell a clothesline like Shawn.

  • So thats how Shawn lost his smile.

  • @MrEvilpanda69 you make me smile

  • Google the wrestler One Man Gang, ironically he now works as a real prison guard.

  • @Drewman8 thats the big boss man and he passed away a while back... get ur facts straight...

  • @MrElsuperj no he is right...akeem aka the one man gang currently does work as a prison guard. He's saying its ironic bc his tag partner the BossMan was playing a prison guard as a gimmick-although it was a gimmick based on his real life

  • Technically that really wasnt a clothes line if you watch closly you can clearly see him make contact with his fist and not his arm.

  • something tells me he was supposed to duck ....

  • poor shawn lol

  • How FAT is the Bossman here? I know he was a big guy but damn.

  • @faustbanana He was really overweight back then, in fact he wasn't able to work more than a 10 minutes match, that's why he went on a strict diet a few months later, and by the time of WrestleMania 6 he had lost at least 80 pounds, and was in great shape, therefore Vince gave him a reward in the form of a big push, eventually facing Curt Hennig at WM 7 for the I.C. Title. :)

  • R.I.P Shawn :D

  • look at the people in this match:

    Marty Janetty: Jobber

Big Boss Man: Good overall performer, underrated(RIP)

Akeem: Also played One Man Gang

Shawn Michaels: Well, you know the story

  • Clothesline, Lariat, whatever; that shit rocked.

  • ....umm..Shawn?.....are you awake?.........akeem told me you wernt supposed to duck...Shawn?...

  • Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty disliked this...

  • OMG he is a meatball

  • That would be a Lariat Sir

  • The dislike bar is a ninja, its there but you just cant see it......

  • clothesline my ass that was a lariat and i see blood on shawns nose

  • press repeated 4

  • Thumbs up if you keep rewinding the clothesline.

  • aw I really wanted to see the splash that Big Boss man was about to do.

That's a mean ass knockout btw.

  • @SumGuy87 450 lmao

  • @SumGuy87 he actually ended up missing that splash lol

  • shawn must have really pissed off Akeem some where down the road for that stiff shot

  • @christianbeardall: Given all the people who Shawn and the rest of the overrated drug addicted jerks in the Clique pissed off over the years, you'd think something like that would have happened more often.

  • Nothing beats Clothline from Hell for me :/

  • @otokoyuu Although its a Lariat..This has got to be one brutal stiff Lariat
