hey dude do u know how can i boot other OS? i know i have window vista and xp in my pc but in boot option its only show window xp but in disk management it have both xp and vista
When i boot the cd everything loads but then i get like a blue screen wthat says to check my hard drive for viruses etc....Can someone help me out plz?
OK, i have installed vista and when i turn on my PC i get that boot menager but when i get into vista i haven't got NETWORK. I tried to connect and repair but nothing. Can you anybody me please???
@NmanTheNman You need to download your either wifi or LAN drivers for your computer all depends on what you use. Google what you have and put (name) Vista drivers. If you have a laptop go to your laptop manufacturing website and they will have drivers for xp and vista
I have Win7 and win Xp on the same hard driver partitioned, Win 7 is on C and win Xp is on M, tho i can only boot in to Win 7 and in the menu i do not see, Win Xp any suggestions ?
ok so i have dual booted with windows 7 and windows xp. i however hate the transitioning between the 2 because i have to constantly turn comp. off and then on to access 1 or the other. is there some kind of shortcut or something that i can put on windows xp that could automatically switch to windows 7 and vice versa without resetting the computer? thanks.
lol it dont work with vista first, i fucked up!!! lol if your computer came with vista then all the drivers and equipment are for vista, so its a bitch to get xp drivers to work, and to top it off i dont have dual boot!!! i guess i gotta restore my computer
not really, coz A) windows 7 and ubuntu is free, and B) having lots of operating systems doesnt make your computer worth more, it'll probally it worth less coz your gonna either waste a lot of HDD space or waste a lot of money buying the OS's (or hacking whatever) and buying mutiple HDD's if you do. just stick to the basics, XP, Vista, 7 (if you want) Linux and Mac, that would be a better bet
i wasnt able to find a free download for it, but trust me... windows 7 isnt worth the time or space. do what this guy does on this vid, that's the best option
I made the partition logical, and i dont know what is that for. But i cant get dual boot for vista and XP with sp3. Does this has to to with the Logical partition option?
i have a particion with 200 gh of memory.. but its not in the primary particion form-- its in the extended particion form, does this work?? or i have to get a primary particion??' if i have to plz help me, i cant put it in a primary form ....thnkx
I installed xp as a secondary OS on a second partition, The problem is that i dont get a boot screen, the computer start directly in xp not asking me about the vista that was already on the system.
I found a website that tells you to do some inst to fix it, i tried it it worked with some errors, i probably did something wrong, Anyways i finally decided to uninstall both Os, install xp first then vista, now it works smoothly, i use xp to run my printer with hp don't have a driver for vista.
Hi I had vista preinstall on my laptop. I install xp and now it will only load up into windows xp. Why is this doing this? It dose not give the option to choose what os I want?
hi simple question if i put a lot of drivers in one dvd, does it matter if they are in a folder will they read it anyway? do i need to extract all the folders ?
Really great video! Very easy to understand and well explained. Helped me out a lot! I want to go to vista soon, but don't want to leave XP x64 Pro, and now I don't have to!

I can t choose what to boot i dont get boot manager i have 1partition (XP primary) 2partition (Programfiles logical) 3partition (Vista logical) and vista boots every time how to set up dual boot ?
thanx so much my friend. i installed xp over vista unknowing that i was losing 2 of my processors as i have a quad core. everytime i installed vista it loads windows fine but when it shuts off for the last time on install it freezes on a black screen sayin vista loader. hopefully your theory will solve this. can i just say again thanx a lot

I already have vista and XP on it, before i saw this video. I have done that because, Windows Vista doesn't support many programs and devices, while XP does.
I installed vista to a logical partition, not a primary one. Is this a bad idea? All seemd well untill i rebooted to xp and chkdisk started running and began detecting curpt files and deleting them. same hapended wen reboted after to vista. everyfin runs fine apart from vista my comptuer wont enable on desktop

Not sure why u have 2 equal partitions. If the 2nd partition is empty u can use it to install XP. It's a bit more involved than adding vista to an XP computer. Xp will not recognize Vista once it's installed and you'll have to repair Vista then install EasyBCD to create the dual boot.
Great video! At the beginning you said that you could dual boot with two drives. How is that different then dual booting with one drive? Would it make dual booting with vista installed first easier?
Having two drives is a little easier in that you don't have to partition the one drive into two partitions. Saves time. Otherwise the process is the same.
does dual boot work perfectly? My reasons for dual booting are so i can play my old windows xp games perfectly in xp and direct 10 games in vista. which version of vista should i be using for home use for gaming and multimedia? can i dual boot with raid disks no problem
I have a dual boot system with Vista + XP for several months with no problems. Your reason for dual booting is a perfect example of why to dual boot. As far as raids go, I havn't tried it but it should work as long as you have the RAID driver on a floppy to install during OS installation.
It's a bit more involved since the bootloader is overwritten when you install XP. Use the DISKPART on the Vista DVD to shrink the Vista partition on the hard disk and create enough space for an installation of Vista. Then install XP, repair the Vista bootloader which will be overwritten during the XP installation, and then use the EasyBCD utility to configure Vista's bootloader to boot the XP partition. I havn't tried this yet but I'll create a video when I do.
will this work if i have XP installed first? because i want to dual boot my xp so i can have vista aswell
