This is a fact, I'm not a "member" of the Barmy Army, yet I live in Cardiff and got tickets to the first Aussie match played outside England ever. Unfortunately it was a shit wicket, yet Australia dominated, I think Ponting got 150+ but the groundsman needs to understand, its not test standard at all. We survived because the pitch was so flat. The Barmy Army were astonishing though, rain or shine.... unbelievable. I'd love to win a million and just follow England for the rest of my life.

I am a Scotsman who supports England at cricket and most England fans are still in the mode of not believing they have beat the Aussies when actually its been common for the last few series. The one series England didnt win they got hammered granted but one hammering for 3 series wins equals English dominance of the ashes in recent years. Enjoy it, the cycle has come round to the English side now.

You become familiar with the players and in those early days all they did was get hammered by the Aussies and Windies so i felt sorry for them. I desperately wanted to see them defeat Windies and Aussies one time. They destroyed Windies in 04 and beat Aussies in 05 and this Scotsman was celebrating lol.

As for no history India played their first international test match on 25th june 1932, we invented the sport in the 18th century and played our first international test on 15th march 1877.
