The only prerequisite for signing petition project . org is a minimum of a BA of the Sciences. There are doctors and vets who have signed, but whatever advanced knowledge they have about chemistry is about humans/animals, NOT the atmosphere.

This discredits the petition as they aren't scientists actively doing research nor are their specialties related to geology.

I dont watch TV--I read. I actively seek out the opposing sides to arguments. I find the case against GW to be lacking.

When someone says CO2 is "necessary for life on Earth" I get the distinct feeling that I am speaking to someone who is, by and large, scientifically illiterate and vomits up science trivia as though it were information that is disputed.

Of course CO2 is necessary! The concern is that there is too much of an imbalance in the atmosphere which threatens our ability to maintain life.

Maybe McPlanetEarth needs to read about radiation forcing.

Look here clown, 31,000 scientists have signed a petition saying GLOBAL WARMING is not caused by co2! versus the 2200 IPCC bureaucrats who say it is! The major deniers of GW are the same ppl who said excessive UV exposure or smoking doesnt lead to cancer. PBS lists them if youd care to look.

As well, the petition only means that there is no consensus (which is normal in science). It does not "prove" anything.

Furthermore, not all the petition signers have degrees in the natural sciences. I remain unimpressed with YOUR lack of research.

There is more to enviro issues than GW: acid rain, land-use changes,overfishing, toxic dumping, etc.
