In this video the Revolution is sending MIDI notes to the XS and also sending Din Sync to the TR-808. Patterns in the Revolution are triggering the XS envelopes in sync with the TR-808's beat.
But if you want to just use an 808 and the XS, use the external trigger outs of the 808 connected to the Gate In on the XS to trigger it's envelopes.
Anyone know if it has mono or stereo inputs?

i can barely believe that those sounds are coming from an 808! some of that sounds like sounds i get from circuit bending.
