Oh and your dead wrong the 300m is a LH car and its tranny is infact the same as the one used behind the 3.5's in the intrepid. Matter of fact you can mount a 2.7 trans in a 300m using the 3.5. All 300m has a 3:89 gearing 3.2, and any 3.5 in anything other than the 300m or intrepid r/t uses a 3.66 gear.

I never said anything about a crete engine. swaping the cams and a few bolt ons and some tunning and those cars run like they should have factory. under 250hp hitting 15 in a 1/4 no now if it is modded yes it could. I have spent more time build drag cars and spening time at the track than you have driving.

You dumb shit the 300m's first 2 gears are tall as hell. The CTS will be ahead from a roll simply due to the fact that when it downshifts, it will be in the power band more quickly.
Since the first 2 gears of the 300m take it up to almost 90 MPH, those are the only ones that will matter in 95% of races.

Last night we raced from dead stop to about 50mph, i drove 04 Chrysler concorde limited 3.5 250 hp and we had even start. Neck to neck till 40 then by 50mph he was half car length behind. 300m special got a performance exhaust, a bunch of exterior upgrades but the main thing that allows it to accelerate a little better than the stock M is the 3.89 rear end...I believe the regular 300m has a 3.66 rear end.
The cadillac only won so easilly cuz Chrysler threw that sloppy 4 speed transmission in it. They still put it in 2005 to 2009 chargers if I remeber right.
@Royaleboy Thanks. The reason why the 300m is so underpowered is because their transmissions lose so much hp by the time they hit the wheels. You are the only person on here who knows what and why it ended up like this. That was my point. The transmission takes 250hp in the engine, and only allows 160 of it to hit the wheels. The loss % on that is staggering. And yeah, the Chargers suffer from the same issues.
@oDTheTruth U R very welcome. I love the LH cars, I have done my research. The 2nd generation LH cars make most of their power @ High rpms, because the rpm hand goes crazy after 4000 revs in 1st gear.

Also, Your 3.5 makes 250 horsepower but your transmission loses ALOT and ends up with only 160-170 at the wheels. Don't believe me? Check the K&N Dynos. Next, you guys run STOCK at 16 and some change in the quarter. I run 15.5 stock, and ran 15.1 with shitty traction on my all seasons with a trunk full of shit. A CTS-V would stomp any of the M series, But I myself have been able to take a few CTS's here locally. I turn off traction control and use the auto-stick to race though, I also have a cold air intake, modded 73mm TB. I don't have many engine mods. I think you should try again with someone more experienced with their car and racing.
@CryMoreToEazy A V isn't even a fair comparison, as its a V8, costs more then a 300m, etc. But my CTS is a 3.2 rated at 220 stock and on paper its faster then a 300m. There are 3.6 CTS which are rated 255 hp, so figure how that would look compared against a 300m. Its auto v auto so driver isn't really the issue. Put up a vid on you against a CTS. If its one of the 2.x engines, I can see the 300m being close to it, but the 3.x models are something else. I only had cold air intake against this 300
@oDTheTruth on paper yes, so many factors come into play in real life however, power to weight ratio, subs, people, tires, and the hp to the wheels is what's real important. The 300m has a autostick which allows manual shifting. I think they are a good comparison. In my experience with a few racing against some, raded the same, I have won, but it doesn't mean that would always be the case. You pulled away from him pretty bad which makes me wonder about their experience.
@CryMoreToEazy I hear that. According to power to weight ratio, the CTS has it also. I've also got some Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires, with 540 treadcount... I have no subs, I've removed SOME weight, although I had 4 people in my car and he had 3 at the time the vid was taken. I'm going to be magnaflowing it soon. I used to race my blazer against the 300, and for the first block, I would keep up before the 300m would pull away starting from a dig. If you are here in NYC, We could meet up.
@oDTheTruth I wish I did live in NYC, unfortunatly I live in the southwest desert state Of NM. The CTS or CTS-V is actually the next vehicle I plan on purchasing. I like to have both luxury and some power in a vehicle. Or perhaps the new Buick Lacrosse. I can't even imagine a blazer vs a 300m. If you had over took the M, I'm sure the driver would have been scratching his head in disbelief, if it was the 2.8 not the 4.3. Nice to see you take care of your CTS, looks superb for it's year.
@CryMoreToEazy Thanks. Yeah, its really old but I take care of it. The blazer was the 4.3L. It held up for a bit but would then lose. The CTS is a real good car. And thats exactly why I bought it. For luxury and for a bit of overtaking power. Used 1st gen CTS-Vs are going for like $20k or so, so you can snatch one up fairly cheap.
I'm not saying the CTS isn't a nice car but you are stating the factory HP of 220 yet at the beginning of the video you say it is "slightly modified" yet you aren't saying what mods have been done and what the net HP/torque is so it's hard to compare the 2 cars when we don't know how they match up HP/torque wise. Saying it's a 2005 300M isn't possible as they were only made for the 1999-2004 model years and unless some exterior pieces of the 300M have been replaced, this can only be a '99-01.

@vector150 Did you not see my other video? The 300mclub forum admits the 300m runs at 16.4 or 16.1. I've run 15.1 with a full trunk and my all seasons. Since then, I've run 14.9. Beat that in your 300m in a quarter mile, then I'll listen to you. Everyone's got a PhD in everything on youtube, don't they? Prove me wrong and stop TALKING. Everyones talking, but the only 300m thats run in the mid 14s had nitrous, no interior, and has gone thru 4 transmissions. Check the dyno runs for K&N for 300m.

Oh and your dead wrong the 300m is a LH car and its tranny is infact the same as the one used behind the 3.5's in the intrepid. Matter of fact you can mount a 2.7 trans in a 300m using the 3.5. All 300m has a 3:89 gearing 3.2, and any 3.5 in anything other than the 300m or intrepid r/t uses a 3.66 gear.

But more importantly, I have a video of my CTS with a shitty 60' running a 15.1 my first time at the track and all I've asked is to be proven otherwise. And yet... I don't see anything. I don't understand why you came on this video... saw something you didn't like, complained and cried, and are trying to prove a point... when whatever you post STILL shows the 300m as slower then the CTS.

@oDTheTruth The tranny is not the cause of the Lh cars not being overly quick you can not get that through your head. the computers programming and the cams are the big factor. I never said anything about a crete engine. swaping the cams and a few bolt ons and some tunning and those cars run like they should have factory. under 250hp hitting 15 in a 1/4 no now if it is modded yes it could. I have spent more time build drag cars and spening time at the track than you have driving.

Sorry if you own one and you've just come to realize that, but the point is the 300m's transmission is its major failpoint, and it loses alot due to parasitic loss. 300ms average high 15s, low 16s in a quarter mile. I've run 14.9 easy now. I've run 15.1 my first day, first run, at the track. Take yours to the track and prove me wrong.

You dumb shit the 300m's first 2 gears are tall as hell. The CTS will be ahead from a roll simply due to the fact that when it downshifts, it will be in the power band more quickly.
Since the first 2 gears of the 300m take it up to almost 90 MPH, those are the only ones that will matter in 95% of races.

Last night we raced from dead stop to about 50mph, i drove 04 Chrysler concorde limited 3.5 250 hp and we had even start. Neck to neck till 40 then by 50mph he was half car length behind. So i say you are full of shit and you read to much sticker stats of inet. And one more thing when i hit the gas all the way front of my car goes up, on that video 300m was not racing you. 300m special got a performance exhaust, a bunch of exterior upgrades but the main thing that allows it to accelerate a little better than the stock M is the 3.89 rear end...I believe the regular 300m has a 3.66 rear end.

@Royaleboy Thanks. The reason why the 300m is so underpowered is because their transmissions lose so much hp by the time they hit the wheels. You are the only person on here who knows what and why it ended up like this. That was my point. The transmission takes 250hp in the engine, and only allows 160 of it to hit the wheels. The loss % on that is staggering. And yeah, the Chargers suffer from the same issues.

Trust me, regardless of whatever exterior has been done, this is an 04 with a 3.5L engine. If you are in new york, you can bring both of your cars and we'll see exactly how it looks. What are you running in the quarter? Let me know. Last I checked on the 300mclub forums, they were running 16.1+ stock. Modded, they were struggling to touch 15.4s

@dnvb18c Trust me when i say this... You listening? Its an 04. Its in pretty bad condition exteriorwise, but its running perfect otherwise. Also, Your 3.5 makes 250 horsepower but your transmission loses ALOT and ends up with only 160-170 at the wheels. Don't believe me? Check the K&N Dynos. Next, you guys run STOCK at 16 and some change in the quarter. I run 15.5 stock, and ran 15.1 with shitty traction on my all seasons with a trunk full of shit. A CTS-V would stomp any of the M series, But I myself have been able to take a few CTS's here locally. I turn off traction control and use the auto-stick to race though, I also have a cold air intake, modded 73mm TB. I don't have many engine mods. I think you should try again with someone more experienced with their car and racing.

@CryMoreToEazy A V isn't even a fair comparison, as its a V8, costs more then a 300m, etc. But my CTS is a 3.2 rated at 220 stock and on paper its faster then a 300m. There are 3.6 CTS which are rated 255 hp, so figure how that would look compared against a 300m. Its auto v auto so driver isn't really the issue. Put up a vid on you against a CTS. If its one of the 2.x engines, I can see the 300m being close to it, but the 3.x models are something else. I only had cold air intake against this 300

@oDTheTruth on paper yes, so many factors come into play in real life however, power to weight ratio, subs, people, tires, and the hp to the wheels is what's real important. The 300m has a autostick which allows manual shifting. I think they are a good comparison. In my experience with a few racing against some, raded the same, I have won, but it doesn't mean that would always be the case. You pulled away from him pretty bad which makes me wonder about their experience.

@CryMoreToEazy I hear that. According to power to weight ratio, the CTS has it also. I've also got some Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires, with 540 treadcount... I have no subs, I've removed SOME weight, although I had 4 people in my car and he had 3 at the time the vid was taken. I'm going to be magnaflowing it soon. I used to race my blazer against the 300, and for the first block, I would keep up before the 300m would pull away starting from a dig. If you are here in NYC, We could meet up.

@oDTheTruth I wish I did live in NYC, unfortunatly I live in the southwest desert state Of NM. The CTS or CTS-V is actually the next vehicle I plan on purchasing. I like to have both luxury and some power in a vehicle. Or perhaps the new Buick Lacrosse. I can't even imagine a blazer vs a 300m. If you had over took the M, I'm sure the driver would have been scratching his head in disbelief, if it was the 2.8 not the 4.3. Nice to see you take care of your CTS, looks superb for it's year.

@CryMoreToEazy Thanks. Yeah, its really old but I take care of it. The blazer was the 4.3L. It held up for a bit but would then lose. The CTS is a real good car. And thats exactly why I bought it. For luxury and for a bit of overtaking power. Used 1st gen CTS-Vs are going for like $20k or so, so you can snatch one up fairly cheap.

I'm not saying the CTS isn't a nice car but you are stating the factory HP of 220 yet at the beginning of the video you say it is "slightly modified" yet you aren't saying what mods have been done and what the net HP/torque is so it's hard to compare the 2 cars when we don't know how they match up HP/torque wise. Saying it's a 2005 300M isn't possible as they were only made for the 1999-2004 model years and unless some exterior pieces of the 300M have been replaced, this can only be a '99-01.

@jim2891 Actually, I believe it to be an 04, and the picture I put of the car, wasn't exactly the same car, but one I found online. At this time, I only had an intake... thats it. No exhaust, no heads, no anything. So if anything, the HP is 220 to 225. LOL Let me know how exactly I can check the year on the 300m, since its my friend's car, and I believe it to be the newest year before they stopped making them, which I thought was 05.
