  • pt que pendejo eres, si vas a hacer un test hazlo con un micro profesional, no el mic de la camara

that fool you, if you do make a test with a professional mic, not the camera mic!

  • how many cymbals does the set include???

  • @oliverb96 Hi Oliver there are few diferent sets, first one with 14" hats 20" ride and 16" crash. Also second one 14" Hats and 18" crash. You can find these sets with 13" hats.

  • @TPLV1234 taa mate.. good value these cymbals.. will be getting for crimbo.. taa for the info mate!!

  • @oliverb96 You're Welcome pal and great choice!!! they have nice sound!!!

  • The only cymbal of the Planet Z series that I think sounds decent is the 16" crash, I have it and think it has a very unique sound, as for the others, well they are pretty crappy.

  • @rollerghost615 You have got to be smoking something. The 16" crash is definetly the worst cymbal in the pack. I'd even go as far as to call it the worst cymbal in the world, it sounds so shitty. It reminds me of a poor splash cymbal, which is just wrong. So now I'm selling it half price so I can buy a PST 5 Crash as a replacement. Anyways, I have no problems with the Ride, it is definetly worth it, and I have mixed feeling for the HHs.

  • @rakadungdung

I don't know, maybe I'm just sound deaf.

I mean it has been a while since the P.Z's have even been on my kit, and the one I remember liking the most was the crash. I did modify it a little though to get it to sound right. lol I did just listen to a sound test though and your right, it sounded pretty bad.

I'm am currently working on selling all my old cymbals so I can buy some K's, because in my ears they are the best cymbals out there, I just absolutely love there rich tones. ;)

  • @rollerghost615 I'm not really an expert on cymbals, do you have any recommendations for a decent HH? As I said, I'm getting a Paiste PST 5 Crash for the money I get for the Z 16" crash, and possibly the one in the video aswell, assuming it sells, because it's really messed up due to a problem with the stand I didn't notice. My birthday is in about a week, so I reckon anything up to 420 Dollars or 260 Pounds is optional.

  • @rakadungdung

I'm not really an expert on cymbals either, I pretty much just go to my local guitar center and ask for a pair of testing sticks. Then you can ask the employees to take a cymbal of off its rack, and they let you hook it up to one of there testing sets. I pretty much just do everything by ear, if I like the sound I'll buy it. So I recommend going to your local music store and just buy what you feel sounds the best. For me that's any cymbal in the Zildjian K series.

  • @rollerghost615 And also, I had planned going to town and checking up some cymbals there, I don't go so often though, seeing as it's 20 mins by car :-/

    We'll see though :-D

  • @rakadungdung

Yeah, I live in a country area right in the middle of 5 cities, so getting to a music store isn't a problem for me. :D

  • @rakadungdung I have a set of Planet Z's and ZBT's that I've had for a long time, I'm hoping I can get decent amount of money for them off eBay. I'll need at least 300 dollars to buy one K, (That is unless I buy them off of eBay as well.)

  • @rollerghost615 I might actually get a ZXT or ZHT HH, they're cheap and good it seems. K's are... not cheap :-P

  • @rakadungdung

Haha, yes that's true. Around 300 dolars a pop, that is why I am selling a lot of my equipment to get them. ;) I've heard some good things about ZXT's and HH's, but ZHT's have gotten bad marks, they sound decent to me though. My ZBT's sound 'okay' in a soundproof room, but other than that they sound pretty bad.

  • This would explain why planet z aren't on the zildian website

  • i just started drums and ive been playing for about a month and i got just two cymbals the 18 crash ride and 14 hihats and i hate the hihats so much the sound worse than a tin can id so rather have sabians or paiste or another line of zildjians i really dont like these

  • top class?

  • @Hammy0924 I was new to drums when I got this, but I still think it's PRETTY GOOD, although the actual Ride in the set is much better...

  • easy fixed..... convert to Paiste

  • I don't think these deserve to be Zildjians.

  • @videogamemusicgalore Sounds to me like I got the wrong cymbals :-S

  • OMG THIS SUCKS

  • Avedis and A custom is the way to go ; )

  • A "top class ride"? Give me a break!!

  • @zerosoma33 Say what you will, I like it, but as a crash it's quite bad, as are the other Planet Z's

  • ive had these cymbals.

and from experience they really break to easy.

  • @MrDrummerdude2 They break easy? I've had them since this video was up, about 1 and a half year, and they're still not showing any physical signs of damage... I also play Thrash Metal, which makes them more likely to break, seeing as it's fast and tough

  • @rakadungdung im not hating or anything.

i play metal, rock, speedmetal, screamo and stuff like that.

    check out my vids

  • eh...i recommend ZHTs over these.

  • Truth to be told, I recommend anything over these, except for the ride

  • i hate trying to clean these things

  • dude, i sld em off

  • these are good for beginners but not much more than that. i have a planet z set, i had to switch the crash cuz it cracked and i really want a new ride. theyre not really bad, its just that they dont really work for experienced drummers.

  • is the planet z 4 cymbal pack good?? and does it have good sound for rock or metal

  • I have the 4 pack and i play A lot of metal and heavy stuff the ride and crash are alright the hats aren't great...I would recomend getting lighter hi-hats...

  • Are Planet Z cymbals heavy cymbals? cause they seem really loud.

  • yes, and i even nicknamed my hats "ten gallon hats" because they are so heavy. the crash (16') dies out toooo quick too

  • i like the cymbals but i don't like your drum hardware

  • ya...but i dnt got the 20" any more........call...i sent u my number

  • im selling off my planet z cymbals...14in hi-hats, 16in crash, 18in crashride and 20in ride......for like rs. 7000......if u live in kolkata......message me if ur interested

  • hey!!! u sellin them still?

i'm ready for 8000...i'll handle vid the courier and other stuff!!! jst tell me u're selling them!!!

  • @mikimunkey where you from ?

  • i like em. im gonna buy one. thanks for the vid.

  • im selling a slighty used set of these cymbals

    original packaging

    18 in crash ride

    14 in hi hats

like new only few fingermarks that can easily be removed! Had em for like a month until i got new ones.

if interested it is around 70 to 80 dollars

    just send me a message

  • I feel your pain man, I have some planet Z cymbals. They are good for beginners I guess.

Getting a ZHT 16 Rock Crash soon tho, then a 20 zht flat ride :)

  • Good for you :P

  • makes a good crash to me

  • is that the crash or the crash ride?

  • That's the crash ride.

  • i have one of those and when u play the bell play with the side not the tip because it will eventually break after times passed and if u use the side it has a louder and better tone to it

  • Yeah, i know now, but i were kinda new to drums and stuff when i made this ^^

  • just a tip: when you play on the bell, dont use the tip of the stick, use the side of it. Sometimes it can break the tip of you use it.

  • Allright, thanks for the tip :)

  • thanks for uploading, i was wondering if buying the planet z set was a good idea, the ride sounds nice.

  • Yeah, i uploaded this so people would know wether to buy it or not, i think think is the only Planet Z soundtest on YouTube :)

  • dont get them. planet z's are not even constructed with copper. they are built from recycled metal.Put out the extra cash and buy the ZBT's they're are way better.

  • Wish i had the extra cash lol, it works good as a ride though :)

  • copper and zinc alloy = brass lol

  • ya zbt's are way better, planet z has no ring or resonance to it, it just sounds like hitting a steel pole.
