yeah well, fanboys rather jerk off to her than see her as what she really is - a really fun character to play across all sf games who unfortunately, got a bit damaged in sf4. Luckily, like you said, she has ultra 2 ^.^;;
But in honesty, hosenka isn't so bad if they get rid of the glitch where it doesn't fully connect with certain characters in corners.
Care to explain how you would play this match then? I don't think you're a chun player, you clearly don't know the match up.
You can't jump at boxer, you eat a headbut everytime. If you poke close up you just eat an armoured ex dash punch and get fucked. Chun has no solid up close game against boxer. Fireball and long range poke game is all she has against him. This match up favours boxer. Chuns anti airs are crap against him too, look at the trades!

your right im not a chun player, and this may be a poor macth up, but a bit more aggresive play would of been more entertaining, fair enough i accept your point chun is pretty screwed with this macth up. However poking and turtling is boring to wacth and to play against. She could of at least tried more cross up attempts before balrog had his ultra availible but i accept your point.
You are kidding right. Its Street Fighter, you don't get ranking for being flashy or for the biggest combo. They are not playing to entertain you. They are playing because they enjoy the game, and the majority of gamers (yourself included) derive more fun when they win. So yes, winning is all that matters.
"Winning is all that matters" is a bad way of putting it though. Sure, winning is very fun and makes for a more enjoyable experience, but wouldn't you rather lose a very challenging and interesting match than win a bunch of easy ones against weak players? Having fun is what matters, not winning, and while winning can certainly make the game more fun it itself isn't necessarily what makes it worth playing.
I think you misinterpreted what I said. The result of the actual match is a by-product of the player's attitude. "Winning is all that matters" is the mindset of the tournament level player. Whether they end up winning or losing, they are playing to win.
I rank boxer as chun's second hardest match up, after sagat. Boxer has it easy in this match up. Even a brilliant chun like nemo has to play defensive run away tactics, this match up is bs unfair, fact.
why doesn't Inoue play dictator anymore? he was good

chun-li's ultra is so shitty in sf4
HwarangOfFaith 2 years ago
Anyone who thumbed down "HwarangOfFaith" is clearly not a chun-player.
I've mained Chun all my life, her ultra is super shitty to connect. Luckily in ssf4 She has ultra 2..Which makes her Top tier. WOOOOOOTTTTTTTT.

boxer is easy to use, ex armor is truly gay. Mash out ex dash punch for simple combo leading to ultra.
hardgayramen4ever 2 years ago
easier said than done, and doesnt justify turtling and poking for half the macth.
but i guess winning is all that matters?

Your wrong, boxer can close down chun easily.
Pokes gets owned by his ex rushing punches.

on his blog he stated boxer has the edge because his headbutt stops chun's jump in games on wake up.
so dunno who's ass you pulled that bs out off.
personally don't care anyway, I retired from this shitty sagat for the win game

Shitty Sagat FTW.
What a great #1 character...yup.

@manaheke it's 6 - 4 boxer favor

Also, headbutt sucks on wakeup. Fastest version has a startup of 7 frames and gets screwed over by crossups.
