  • I fucked up my PC doing this! =) I'm using amd athlon xp 2500+ processor and I put the thermal paste on the middle of it and when I turn my computer on it stays on for 3 mins and then shuts off! Why? My processor is Super old from 1999.

  • do i HAVE to remove the thermal paste?

  • @ZayLong I think it depends how much is on it, because I took out my Grandpa's processor out and there was basically no paste on it or the heat sink.
