It's not really a sucker punch because IMO it's really a case of "communication error", BUT, according to league rules, initiating a fight with <5 minutes left in the game is an automatic 1 game suspension and the coach is fined. The league DID NOT do this. Campbell is a friggin' joke!

Hockey IS about scoring, but there are ways to get goals and having an enforcer on the team, in the Bruins' case is Thornton, is a way of achieving the ability to score more goals. Maybe he would crosscheck Laraque like that. Who knows? He's fought him before and stood his own so I don't think he would be afraid to do it again. If you think the crosscheck is dirty, that's fine. I have no problem with that. I think it's dirty too, but Thornton is just doing his job and trying to start a fight.
