This is one of my favorite african tribes. They don't fight, love to party, and the guys try to look good girls. They do "steal" women, but if the women don't want to be taken, they repect that, and wont take them. I love their way of thinking.

Even more, if the woman was the wife of some man, she can decide if she run away with the new pretender or stand with her current husband.I think that is pretty romantic

they have beautiful hair. i wonder what they use to take care of it and keep it long and thick. i keep my hair natural and its growing at a steady rate (afro-american, i am), but i have had less time to comb through it after a wash and usually end up finger combing and plaiting until dry. but i cannot comb it when it is dry. so i want to know wha these people do. any help??? thanks.

So much so that if a Wodaabe man sees a very beautiful man he will allow his wife to have sex with that man in the hopes that she will have a beautiful baby. Elongated features and white teeth are passed on because the men who have these features are sought after as mates. So generation after generation the people end up with these features. They ARE born that way...

The garments that they are wearing go back thousands of years and are found in ancient Egyptian Old Kingdom tomb paintings of the dark brown-skinned Tjehenu-Libou. The same decorative designs are also found on them. See the book, Nomads of the Niger.

Have you ever thought that features of different groups overlap. Fulani tend to have small noses and plumb lips while europeans have long thin noses and thin lips.

the wodaabe in west africa, this is a tradition but notice how the men crouch up and down and their eyes widen as the stand while the women move their eyes and cover half of themselves as the camera comes to them, in saharan tribes like these women are more kept behind the husbands before they talk to a foreigner so they are alon here and try not to notice.

Nope wrong continent. First of all these women look more like girls and they are there to choose a man . Fulani society was once very matrifocal like the Tuareg and other African peoples. I don't know what they are now but they were certainly not to be be compared the submissive women of other cultures.
