  • Harry Potter and supports equality? Just another reason to be a fan.

  • worst hair ever!!!! It's just so distracting!

  • starting to look like a member of the Sex Pistols... the more i read about this guy, the more i love him to death. his work with the Trevor Project, his atheism.

  • His hair makes his head look like a mushroom!

  • green eyes???

  • Puberty was great to Nevel....

    Terrible to Harry.

  • he has dyspraxia guys..chill out about the teleprompter

  • He's not very good at AutoRead...

  • he is reading

  • He must really be effected by this since he looks like an effin' lesbian.

  • super awkward cause his eyes and eyebrows don't move... lol

  • @TromboneQueen2012 BWAHAHA !

  • I THINK HE'S READING FROM A SCRIPT!!! DUDE!! YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE HONEST!!!

  • @lonelybanana1 // true but he was probably nervous, he is a shy guy to a certain degree Plus he probably didnt want to stuff it up and say sumthin to make his self look silly, he probably Pre- wrote sumthin then was just reading it

  • yeah when are you going to come out danny and be happy being GAY actors need to come on out and be GAy not just support them and PLAY GAY

  • @Hallamfoebell As much as it'd be way cool if he were gay, it's even cooler that he's straight AND an ally. =] We need all the support we can get. The more straights that realize that we're all equals the better.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx How is it cooler? Yes we do but to have straight actors for the cuase is still not helping. we need actors who are gay to come on out and tell people there gay. Becuase just looking at a person you cant tell. why is dan so interested in the gay movement.

  • @Hallamfoebell It's cooler because there aren't that many straight people who are so adamant about equal rights for the lgbtq community. I don't mean that being straight is/isnt cooler than being lgbtq, just that allies are SO Very Crucial to getting people to see things for how they really are, as opposed to their own bigoted, rhetoric based opinions. It doesn't matter how many lgbtq actors come out, because the majority of people (and therefore, voters) are straight.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx Well its not there cuase now is it? Yes thats the problem isnt it? So how can gays live in a straight world? Actors are terrified of people discovering there real sexual preferences. its cool to support to play gay but not be GAY. Well it wont happen with straight allies becuase of the severe double standard.

  • @Hallamfoebell No, it's not a "straight cause" but we won't be able to go very far without our allies will we now? There are plenty of out and proud actors. You can't force people to come out - it doesnt turn out well. (Note: Im gay). So they're scared - I was too. The way the community is treated wont change by forcing people out of the closet, it changes by educating people and opening their minds - by making our presence known (those who ARE out and proud).

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx What have the allies done? I am not talking about old actors or actors who are now man but in there younger years teen idols like Jon lee. How does it not turn out well? Chad Allen wouldnt be who he is until he come out. Well how did you deal with being a lesbian? Its much easier for lesbians becuase we have that double standard of girl on girl action. Even those people who are out and pride hasnt changed anything.

  • @Hallamfoebell Butch women have it very hard quite equal to gay men, and femme lesbians are pegged as bicurious or lying, those in the middleground just "dont look gay enough" for the standards of both the straight and gay community. I know men do have it harder because they're more likely to be victims of hate crime. It breaks my heart everytime I read/hear/see something of that nature. Everyone has it hard. We're all in this together.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx Yes we are but you have it a tad easier. a tad. Well I sure dont want to date a feminine guy. I want to date a guy that acts like a GUY. Not a girl

  • @Hallamfoebell There are plenty of noneffeminate, masculine gay males out there. If there aren't any where you are, then you've gotta go find them elsewhere. Sorry that hasn't been working out for you though. But you're only perpetuating stereotypes by that statement, which assumes that all gay men, and specifically those who are victims of hate crimes are effeminate and through that, are somehow deserving or have called upon the perpetuators to harm them.

Im done having this pointless argument.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx Yes it is pointless becuase this arguement is going no where.

  • @Hallamfoebell Allies have brought attention to bullying(with this video and countless others), raised awareness, support, and funds for legislation(eg: Prop 8 and the California Court Case). Regular people (non celebrity) allies are fighting together with pflag, glsen and other such groups to advocate for equal rights in their states. We're all together, fighting for rights we should have in the first place. Barrack never promised legalization of marriage equality. Im disappointed with him too

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx How has it helped? I was still called a Harry Fag and no the fudger or packer was not towards me it still hurt. well it should be federal not state.

  • @Hallamfoebell Believe me, I completely understand and agree with you in a broad sense of what you're saying. We all need to feel safe enough to come out, to not be worried about hate. We need to have rights. We need to get shit done. While what our lgbtq brothers and sisters(and otherwise)have done before us in the sixties through the eighties has certainly been a stepping stone, but we(the lgbtq)cannot sit by and meekly fight. We need to assert our equality, we need to make our presence known.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx I doubt its been a stepping stone where are the gay lead characters in disney or nick? Why do we need to make our presence known when straights dont have to do that?

  • @Hallamfoebell Theyre coming. These things take time. Id love to see them tomorrow, but in reality it's not going to happen right now. We need to make our presence known so that our governments know they cant just restrict our rights. When groups that have been discriminated against make themselves known and are assertive, things get done(women's and civil rights movements are prime examples) much quicker than just sitting by solely because the majority(nondiscriminated)group doest have to stand

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx How by having Nevel Pepperman the gay lead with being swishy? Well when will it happen? Woman are still considered the weaker sex Big time rush you cant hit us becuase we are girls. I thought that old adage would die it hasnt. No they dont have to stand so what do we do? Becuase we can have a ton of allies it wont make a difference since Dan wont come out. Plus the actors who are gay wont come out. Bop magazine already assumes every male actor is straight.

  • If it weren't for the early movement, states would still have antisodomy laws, there would be no protection from discrimination based on gender expression/identity or sexual identity, hate crimes would no longer be a criminal offense (in the few states that they actually ARE). They actually got a lot of protection. Yes, there's a lot they were unable to do, but you've gotta be grateful for what they have done, and use the fury at what they didnt do to fuel the fires of our own movement.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx But its few it should be across the board. How can you be grateful when Bop J-14 etc etc gear towards girls instead of guys? They should have an equal share of lusting after there stars.

  • @Hallamfoebell of COURSE more lgbtq people employed in high positions will help in getting attention and support. Why is it that you cannot understand the concept of straight allies - that EVERY supporter who "acts" straight isn't indeed straight? Firstly, gay, straight -whatever, it doesnt even matter (or it shouldnt), and secondly, while there are some allies who are actually closeted lgbtq, there are a lot of straights. Could you elaborate on what you mean by the "double standard" of allies?

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx Becuase we have had straight allies from Elixzebeth McGovern to a slew of straight allies. Hasnt worked. Well it does matter becuase even with Barack in office things have not changed. Why should that gay kid kill himself over a vid of him having sex with another guy? Then all of a sudden this celebs come out and say if your gay talk to people. I am still miffed and angry Christain Coulsan said what do you want me too do.

  • @Hallamfoebell Of course, lgbtq actors need to come out (when they're ready). Dan's said himself that because of his parents (and later, his career), he grew up around a ton of lgbtq people as a kid and therefore never saw any reason why we should be treated as less than, denied rights, or bullied. Just because someone is "so interested in the gay movement" doesnt automatically make them gay, it means they actually use their brain for proper reasoning.

  • @xbellaxbrutalityx when is ready when there dead? Roddy McDowell never come out. Still hasnt come out. One openly gay actor is out and about. His treated like a leper in the business. It wont change until a gay man is Ceo of a Nick Disney MGM and actors are willing to be honest with themselves. Not having straight actors say we are straight but not narrow. Becuase the ones that are straight acting could be the ones that are gay. Plus I am not surprised about teens killing themselves

  • he does look as if he's gonna commit suicide :|

  • Hes reading a teleprompter /:

  • @missforevertianna yeah, but he still did it. Any help is good. :)

  • @missforevertianna you have to read from a script to get all the point in

  • @LauraGarciaCervantes Yeah thats true..

  • @missforevertianna well its scripted how is that for the GAY movement with a straight ACTOR?

  • I was SO hoping he'd met Darren Criss!! (The REAL Harry Potter)

  • yes, that would be fun :) the very potter musical is so awesome!!! Like it

  • Brillant Daniel social cause and his hair looks Fantastic too!

  • this is why i love him so much! it's really great to see him support a cause like this and hopefully others will follow him and the others who have made these vids to help those who are seeking support.

on a side note, i love how he says dotcom =)

  • I feel dumb... i was like "is that Harry Potter?" Wow wow i'm stupid!!

  • What in the world happened to his hair !o.O? On a serious note I'm glad he's supporting a good cause. No one should feel ashamed of their self to the point suicide. So really, kudos to Daniel Radcliffe.

  • @WannaBDirecda well when is dan going to come out? Instead of supporting the trevor project?

  • the hair lololol

  • I'm glad he's supporting a great cause but I can't resist:

    Turn to page 394.

  • @osharemind

    Werewolves??

  • @osharemind I fnt get that reverence :(

  • David Kato Kisulo, Ugandan LGBT activist and advocacy officer for Sexual Minorities has been brutally beaten to death because of the constant stream of hate that comes out of the Vatican and other Christian churches. These “Christians” who fuel the hate and violence of homophobia are as guilty of murder as those who pull the trigger, twist the knife or swing the baseball bat. They have blood on their hands, do you? Do you?

  • he looks cross eyed hahaha

  • Gay rights are civil rights are human rights.

  • I really does get better. I was a Gay Homecoming Queen i brought my Same-Sex Lover as my escort...this was in high school! I made a video about it. It doesn't just get better for Famous People or "Older People"! Please watch it and spread the word

  • @sgetty1 well your the lucky few

  • @Hallamfoebell There is some truth to that. But my video has already inspired people I've never met and it has also changed a lot of minds. We have to keep positive about this entire movement and I think happy stories like mine are important for struggling LGBT youth to see. I've been trying to get this story out for awhile and have been tossed around numerous media outlets and continuously had the story dropped. The video may not be viral, but making just a FEW lgbt kids smile is worth it.

  • @sgetty1 I dont think it will change. Gays are not the majority. Even though in Hollywood there proably a ton of closeted gays out there. People we wouldnt even suspect. Becuase they say I love GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS. Even though thats not the case.

  • He only blinked 6 times in the entire video..

  • He only blinked three times....

  • just focus on the awesome message, don't get in to religious battles.

  • I love Dan. :)

And guys, SHUT UP ABOUT RELIGIONS. You're just going to insult people. Just focus on the cause&how great it is celebrities are doing things like this. I'm a Catholic, I chose to not listen to people who are saying horrible things about us. We're all HUMAN w/ diff feelings. Not all catholics are completely against the LGBT community? There are SOME extremes, yes. My priest said LGBT people are FINE and do not deserve to be ridiculed. SUCK IT, SHENADOA AND EVERYONE ELSE. Seriously.

  • @bookworm7894 If you belive the hate the CC teaches, you have blood on your hands.

  • @shenadoa wow. you got me. thanks for that comment, now i'm totally going to leave the catholic church and the God I've worshiped for 16 years. thanks for your insightful comment. i do have blood on my hands. i'm glad you told me, because you're obviously the best. I should be worshiping YOU, not God. psh.

hahahahah, sorry, i just felt like being really sarcastic. but seriously, who are you to tell me that i have "blood on my hands." YOUR. OPINION. thanks for sharing.

  • daniel radcliffe se ve lindo sexy

  • The accent makes it more...serious??

  • Dan Rad you are AWESOME. :D

  • God, I think I'm in love.

  • Gays can't help but be the way they are. Being gay isn't going to make them go to hell. God doesn't like their behavior but forgives and accepts it. All gays can go to heaven. And that's the truth.

  • @linkmaster717 I realize your intentions are heartfelt, but do you realize how condescending your comments are? I hate the sin but love the sinner is in itself a violent act because you are stating that you are superior to the LGBT community. The love between 2 men or 2 women is as sacred as the love between a man and a woman. Do you have blood on your hands?

  • @linkmaster717 Religiously Incurable

There is not much hope in changing the minds of the religiously incurable. They’re completely controlled by that conversation in their heads that begins the moment they awaken in the morning and continues unceasingly until they fall asleep. They are the pawns of their own constant chatter. But there are some who are beginning to see thru the programming and realizing that there exists a world beyond dogma.

  • @linkmaster717 Really??? So please tell me when God told you he "doesn't like " Gays' behaviour . This is the very sort of judgemental stuff that causes kids to get so screwed up , and does so much damage to peoples lives .

  • Oooh did you read what it said at the end of the Seth video “Public schools have a duty to protect students from harassment based on sexual orientation.” I didn’t hear the word “Catholic” mentioned even once in that video yet you’re so adamant in your hatefulness for the religion. If the Catholic Church were responsible for 1000 deaths of homosexuals and Islam were responsible for 300 which religion is worse? IMO they are the frickin same!!

  • @Da1uLyK We live in the US. The Catholic Church is the chief source of hate in this country. Just because others promote the same violence, does not make the Catholic Church any less quilty. Murder is murder. If you are Catholic or belong to any Christian church that teaches hate and do nothing to change that church, you are just as guilty and have blood on your hands.

  • i love how he is so kind

  • what about the intersex people? lets not leave them out!

  • YouTube clip titled:

    Seth Walsh 1997-2010

  • How do you fight bullying? Give them role models by having young LGBT professional go into the schools.

“I know that you cannot live on hope alone, but without it, life is not worth living. You have got to give them hope.” Harvey Milk

Lance Black's Participation in the Homecoming Project - Live Out Loud

  • I was waiting for him to cast a spell the whole video.

  • amezing

  • I love his accent! x) <3

  • i like you daniel radcliffe

  • he looks pissed off

  • I really love it when straight people support causes like this and everyone automatically assumes that they are gay. You do not have to be gay to have a heart people.

  • @Radcliffe4Ever It's such a shame he isn't...........it really is :P

  • People, this is the reason why alot of straight people don't openly support gay rights. Every time somebody does, we start with the rumors. All that matters is he's a celebrity bringing attention to a worthwhile cause.

  • @BadFriendMike

    Thank you.

My goodness, people can't say anything in support of gay people without being said they're gay too. Janet Jackson did a PSA for the same thing...is she a lesbian? Grow up, people. They're doing a good thing; that's all that matters.

  • @onex090 Onexo there are a ton of actors still in the closet in hollywood! I know of some becuase of my sister there very closted homosexuals. You would never suspect. CEO of a major magazine. Well Janet is proably gay.

  • @Hallamfoebell

Janet is probably gay...? Oh my God. Of course people (not just in Hollywood) are in the closest, but that doesn't mean other people have to be so stupid to believe that any person who gives an ounce of support is suddenly gay as well. If some of these people turn out to be gay, then so be it. Just don't be so stupid to believe each and every supporter out there is seceretly gay. I know for a damn fact that I'm not gay, yet that won't stop me from supporting my friends that are.

  • @onex090 But hollywood is what rules what we are going to wear what we believe since we still have the old adage a guy cant hit a girl. A girl cant be a police officer and be a strong fighter. thats you but there is still that double for gay guys

  • @Hallamfoebell

Um, I know that double standards still exists in the world, but that wasn't what I was talking about. Also, Hollywood does not rule what "we" are going to wear and believe. It maybe rules those silly people that act like celebs are Gods, but certainly not me. Still, the only point I was trying to make was that straight people who are not hiding in the closest can and do support gay rights. I wasn't trying to make a point about double standards or anything.

  • @onex090 But you and me dont rule the teen mags and we are not the market for the teen shows or tween shows. I havent seen TR Knight Chad Allen Dan Pintuaro Russell Toovey Christain Coulsan Matt Lucas support gay rights. They come out but there not in the gay magazines or teen magazines.

  • @Hallamfoebell

And that's their problem if they're not comfortable enough to make a video to support things like the Trevor Project. Besides, the magazines get people that are popular and can sell, which consists of nothing but the teen and tweens out today. And again, I'm not getting into a debate about this as this was not why I posted on here. Maybe those people's fans need to try to pressure them to make videos and speak out. Otherwise, if they don't want to, they aren't going to.

  • @onex090 and the cycle continues. dont you see? No we need CEO of Nick Disney Warner Paromount etc etc to be gay and in power. Plus to have more media outlets to say its okay to be gay becuase everytime the straights have there views will be more dominant.

  • @Hallamfoebell

Well, I'm quite sure you can't order any of those people in higher power to either be gay or come out if they already are. You just need the gay teens/kids out today to grow up and get in those positions of power. Until then, you just have to work on the platform that you have and you use the support that you have, gay or straight.

  • @Hallamfoebell

yeah, because only the rich and famous can make a difference *sarcasm* seriously, if all your going to do is sit there and say "oh darn, there's a problem. well, nothing I can do" then your right. there's nothing you can do and nothing will change. but do those of us who do try a favor and keep out of it, because the BS of "there's nothing we can do, so why bother" is just that, BS. look at history, look at how far we've come. look at whats happening in the world. change is real

  • @lasrber the rich and famous can help expose how gay people lead there lives. actors can help by saying we are docters lawyers brick layers not every single one of is like Kurt from Glee

  • @bumblefoot2004 Harry Potter isn't gay mate. He has kissed Cho Chang and Ginny Weasley. ON THE OTHER HAND, Daniel Radcliffe might be gay I don't know...

  • @LOLItsToastyXD he was bi for awhile with Tom Felton (Draco) but now Tom has a girlfriend

  • @LOLItsToastyXD

    Nonono.

Harry Potter is having "secret" affair with Draco Malfoy.

  • Such a nice nice kid. Keep doing great work, man. =)

  • @bumblefoot2004 Are you suggesting that no straight person ought to care about LGBT people?

  • i love dan!!!♥♥♥

  • Thank you for taking the time to make this video!

  • In catholic orphanages in my country they tell the kids Harry Potter is devils and they teach kids that way. ;)

    For example Medjugorje orphanages.

  • @pjubagoni There is no institution in all of Western Civilization which has tortured, enslaved, impoverished, murdered, bullied, lied to, and molested more people than the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church continues those traditions unabated especially its hate campaign against the LGBT community. Why aren’t Catholics ashamed of being a Catholic?

  • @shenadoa Well, I am but I still haven't found enough strenght to go to the church ( new one since they made bigger ) and ask to unbaptise me. I don't want to belong to catholic community for decades. They threw me out of classes even when I was 10 yrs. old. I live in the country where we had 3 religious wars in 90s, Islam Ortodox Catholic, and OC have proven worst of all. Uncivilised barbarians with intention to wipe out muslims with all kinds of genocides. I could go on about homophobia...

  • @pjubagoni I understand. There are many places in the world where silence is the only safe course. Hopefully, you can find people who are not controlled by the dogma of their respective religions. Some people everywhere have awoken out of that mental illness. Peace.

  • @shenadoa I would just like to say that I am Catholic and that I am a FULL supporter of the LGBT community. In fact, several of my close, CATHOLIC relatives are either L, G, or B. The hate that you speak of does NOT represent all of us. I actually went to Catholic schools which did NOT attempt to teach its students to hate the LGBT community but rather to respect it. I completely understand your anger, but I can assure you that the hurtful members of my Church are fewer than you'd think.

  • @booklovable Unless you and your church accept that the love between two men or two women is as sacred as the love between a man and a woman, then you are promoting hate. If you personally accept that their love is as sacred, then your membership the Catholic church promotes and enables violence directed at the LGBT community. You are responsible for those you associate with. You have blood on your hands, try to wash it off!

  • @booklovable I have know and counted as friends many good Catholics. But I also know what is taught in Catholic schools. Hate the sin, love the sinner. If you can’t help being gay, then don’t have sex. That in itself is hateful. It is also extremely arrogant and condescending. Your Vatican continues to spew hate every chance your Pope and his minions get.

  • @booklovable I agree! I'm Catholic and have gone to Catholic schools my ENTIRE life and not once did they teach us to judge the LGBT community, they taught us that Catholic church doesn't think its right but who are we to judge other people??? It's their decision not the anyone else's and if that is the way they feel I support them 100%!!!!! :) You go guys!

  • @hamham3binky I have know and counted as friends many good Catholics. But I also know what is taught in Catholic schools. Hate the sin, love the sinner. If you can’t help being gay, then don’t have sex. That in itself is hateful. It is also extremely arrogant and condescending.

  • @shenadoa I think it is wrong of you to assume all Catholics are like that. I happen to be Catholic but I do not agree with the church's decision on this. Its ridiculous for you to blame Catholics for bulliying the LGBT community when you are attacking Catholics. You are spreading hate as well.

  • @hamham3binky I do not assume that alll catholics are like that, but they are responisble for thier church.

I have know and counted as friends many good Catholics. But I also know what is taught in Catholic schools. Hate the sin, love the sinner. If you can’t help being gay, then don’t have sex. That in itself is hateful. It is also extremely arrogant and condescending

  • @hamham3binky What, if anything, are you doing to stop the hate coming from the Vatican? Or do you feel yCatholics are not responsible for the Vatican?

  • @shenadoa hey don't just single out the Catholics!! There are many other Christian denominations which don't support homosexuality, let alone Islam which forbids it and punishes such behaviour by "death" (no excuses whatsoever). And there are also many, many atheist homophobes, so not just the Catholics people! ]

But we need not point fingers anyway, as long as we accept, people will follow.

  • @Da1uLyK In Western Civilization the Catholic Church has been the major source of homophobia for over a 1,000 years. All other sources are small fry in comparison. This Catholic hate continuously streams out of the Vatican in its full intensity and Catholics do nothing about it. And as long as they do nothing, they have blood on their hands. Or is it your opinion that a good Catholic is not responsible for the Pope and his minions? The Vatican is morally bankrupt. Are Catholics?

  • @shenadoa I understand where you're coming from but I still don't see why you're focusing solely on the Catholics. You seem to imply a solution to homophobia will be derived by blaming the Catholics, yet we know homophobia is a worldwide problem despite religion. It's not like it's up to Catholics to change what the world thinks about gay people. For example, the KKK's beliefs haven't budged a bit, yet the United States are a gazillion times more accepting of non-whites and Jewish people...

  • @shenadoa ...than 70 years ago. Let so-so believe in what they want to believe. It's up to us - no matter what so-so believes - to find confidence in ourselves and fight (by no means physically) for what we see is right. Time will heal the anger, disgust and confusion as usual.

  • @Da1uLyK What do you think I am doing? I'm fighting for those among us who can't. That you don't like the way i do that is not my probvlem. And no, it is not up to ourselves to change us. We are noy the problem. Catholics and other Cristians may not pull the trigger, twist the knife or swing the baseball bat, but they are just as guilty as those who do because they add fuel to the fire and fan the flames with their comments.

  • @Da1uLyK

Are you Catholic? Some Catholics take responsibilty for the their church. What are you doing?

    YouTube Titled:

Dear Bishop, I wear a rainbow pin...

  • @Da1uLyK Anybody can believe what they want. Indeed no law can prevent that. Christians can believe that Jews should be shipped off to gas chambers, but they do not have the right to carry out their beliefs. They may not believe that the love between 2 men or 2 women is as sacred as the love between a man and a woman, but they do not have the right to prevent them from marrying.

  • @shenadoa Ok, I’m officially confused because I thought we were on the same side here? I think we’re both misunderstanding each other. There are same sex civil partnerships/marriages going on internationally and successfully and they are becoming more widespread. My point is what is the point of blaming Catholics for the homophobic situation now? The main hindrance for same sex marriages are because the governments haven’t allowed them, not the Catholics...

  • @shenadoa If a Catholic man wishes to marry a man he can leave the Catholic Church if it is causing him problems. Simple as that.

  • @Da1uLyK Grow up! That is exactly what the CC is trying to prevent. Do you have blood om your hands?

    YouTube clip titled:

    Seth Walsh 1997-2010

  • @Da1uLyK What role did you play in Seth's death? If you believe that the love between 2 men or 2 women is not as sacred as the love shared by a man and a woman, you are a homophobe and your attitude is used by children and adults to attack gays or anyone who they think is gay. Would you have respected and honored the relationship of Seth and the person he fell in love with? Would the bullying have ever stopped?

  • @shenadoa ....Let me get this straight – I am not supporting homophobia in any shape or form. Also, I did not at any point say that the love in a homosexual relationship is not as sacred as a heterosexual one; neither did I ever mean to say so.

  • @Da1uLyK I hear you and did not think you personnaly supported that hate. But you are responsible for the people you assoviate with. 15 years from now, when you find the dead body of your child hanging from a tree, you will ask yourself what you did to stop the hate.

  • @Da1uLyK Ms. Walsh, Serg's mother will bne on the Nate Birkus show Wed Dec 29 at 3 PM PST if you are interested.

And this from a Catholic grandmother

    YouTube Titled:

Dear Bishop, I wear a rainbow pin...

  • There are many different Catholics in the world. Over a billion, at least. Not every one in the Church takes the Bible as literally as others, we understand some of it is figurative. I, for one, have many homosexual friends. I do not believe that they will burn for simply existing. My God is a merciful God. What happens after life, no one knows. That is between God and those who have passed on. Please do not mistake my opinion as preaching, I understand it irritates others and myself.

  • @longhornsgurl21 Thank you for your response. In my opinion there are 2 issues. Do Catholics or Christians believe that the love between 2 men and 2 women is as sacred as the love between a man and a woman. If not, they are the major source of the hate and violence directed at the LGBT community. If they believe the love is as sacred, then what are they doing within their churches to stop the hate and violence? If they are doing nothing, they have blood on their hands. Where do you stand?

  • @shenadoa I'm a Catholic and go to a Catholic school, and I know that I personally don't believe in most of that stuff just because of the times we live in. I really only know of older generations who still believe in those things; for a lot of kids my age, that's one of the reasons they doubt their religion. Just thought I'd say, it's not everyone in the religion who does those things.

  • @mmg1195 Thank you for sharing your perspective. Yes, I have known many Catholics (and other Christians) who were good people and were also able to overcome the dogma of their religion. I lived 5 years in Spain where gay marriage is legal. Most young Spaniards consider the Catholic Church to be a bad joke. But in my opinion, Catholics who do nothing to stop the continuous hate and streaming out of the Vatican share the responsibility for all the hate and violence direct at the LGBT community.

  • @shenadoa I know, the extremes some people are going to are horrible. I should investigate and figure out if that whole view is a dogma or a doctrine, because that makes all the difference. If it's a dogma, there are always going to be some people believing in it. But yeah, abuse, bullying, and all of those things are just horrible.

  • @mmg1195 Dogma and doctrine are synonyms.

  • @shenadoa Not really. Catholics believe that dogmas are things taught by God directly so they can never change, and doctrines are man-made by the Church.

  • @mmg1195 Not according to the dictionary, but then the CC ppropogates its separate reality

  • @shenadoa Well, most words have slightly different definitions in terms of faith, just like any other word has multiple definitions. I was just expressing my desire to learn more about the subject. :)

  • @shenadoa I can see where you are coming from HOWEVER my mother is Catholic and is a wonderful, open minded woman.

  • @xLeatherrainboots Yes, I know many wondergful human beings who are Catholic, People who have been my friends all my life. They accept me and my husband 100%. They also support LGBT organization. But there are "true believers" who are lost in dogma and who are willing to sacrafice the life of another human for their beliefs. There is a YouTube clip of one of these good people like your mother.

    YouTube Titled:

Dear Bishop, I wear a rainbow pin...

  • @shenadoa I totally agree.

  • @shenadoa I'm sure you consider yourself to be open-minded to all communities, but this is a really close-minded statement. Just because someone is Catholic doesn't mean they are full of hatred for people who have differing beliefs. I'm not saying that some very strict Catholics do not still have the - honestly - scary beliefs as the people you mentioned, but I think that portion of the population is quite few.

  • @AngelWitch08 1. I have know and counted as friends many good Catholics. But I also know what is taught in Catholic schools. Hate the sin, love the sinner. If you can’t help being gay, then don’t have sex. That in itself is hateful. It is also extremely arrogant and condescending.

  • Comment removed

  • @AngelWitch08 2. Unless the Catholic Church accepts that the love between two men or two women is as sacred as the love between a man and a woman, then they are promoting hate. If Catholics personally accept that same sex love is as sacred, then their membership in the Catholic church promotes and enables violence directed at the LGBT community unless they are willing to speak up to authority . We are responsible for those we associate with.

  • i love this guy

    3>

Very nice what he does (:

  • @Noonxy20k There weren't "just the 12 guys that just happened to be gay". There are LOTS of gay kids who kill themselves, or attempt to kill themselves, that we NEVER hear about. LGBT youth are more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers, which is why the Trevor Project is urgently needed.

Suicide is tragic no matter WHO does it. But LGBT youth have a HIGHER rate, which is why we need to spotlight this.
