As much as I love Little Earthquakes, Under the Pink may be Tori's masterpiece - those first two CDs were certainly an amazing one-two punch - just brilliant!
Yeah that whole Courtney Loveish thing where it's like little girl dresses from the 40's, only soiled and torn and on an adult, with smeared makeup and tights and what-not.
Since Miss Takesies spilled the beans on herself, I feel no further harm can be accomplished by any added spillage:
According to her, Pele would be a spiritual entity to whom Tori provide favors for. How the "boys" fit in there and what kinda boys you would have to ask her.
"Takesies" just happens to be how she pronnounces the word Texas in the song "Black Dove". Since I like that song it kind of stuck with me.
And the title... the football player did come to mind but it didn't make any sense. Come on... Boys for Pele (the player)? And what? Form a football team?
Tori spilled the beans on herself because In the album credits, there's a mention to Pele which makes it sound more of a spiritual connection than anything else.
yayy for tori!

No problem. You're welcome.
New pronunciations are always worth looking into. Makes our brain think of even more possibilities.
