  • if you are going to do it do it with jim dont disapoint us with album that does not come up to what one & two did talk to jim.

  • My mom has a program from when she went to see Meat on his Bat out of Hell 2 tour and in it meat said that he would never make a Bat out of Hell 3.. Oh how things change.. Gotta love meat!

  • Laz75, THANK YOU. I was just going to post that. Also, Bat III was the weakest of the three.

  • 3 is the best bat of them all, fact. Meat+Jim=PERFECTION. if you even remotely "like" meatloaf..... you need to own this cd.

  • Is he on like a 24/7 high now?

  • greatest voice ever PERIOD!

  • I love his honesty and how he really does great music too. He really is a remarkable rock star.

  • I think bat III beats bat II but only just, but it still has a lot to learn about rock n roll to beat bat I.

I don't recall Nikki Sixx writing anything for bat II, maybe he wrote for couldn't have said it better, but not bat II no way..

  • Nikki Sixx did NOT write any songs on Bat II (1993), whoever edited this originally got it extremely wrong. He did write songs for Meat's *previous* album, "Couldn't Have Said It Better" (2003).

Of course, all of the songs from Bat I and Bat II were written exclusively by Jim Steinman.

  • 1stly,bat II should'n't be a Bat album, as Bat Is Jim & Meat, Not Meat alone, and not Jim alone. Hence Bat II was their reunion.

nor will it be Meat's final album, or final tour,

  • bat II was a Jim and Meat albulm

  • @kipling1989 no shit sherlock.

  • Loaf shouldn't have done this without Steinman ... but, then again, Steinman shouldn't have done the 'Bad For Good' album without Loaf ~ so I guess that makes them One-All.

  • it wast meant fr stienmen anymore snce he tried taking the third away from meat!

  • Bat III just didn't have the je ne se qua that I and II had.

  • what this bad promo vid does, is it makes the uneducated sixx and michael do bat 2.

  • I personally love this album - I think that the songs were all exceptional. Like cobra1601, I'm 14, and Meat Loaf is my favourite artist of all time - I think he can pull off any song and I was actually glad that Steinman didn't write all the songs for this album, because that gave Meat himself a chance to kind of branch out. And while I'm pissed that they used the Bat out of Hell thing as marketing, at least they said so and didn't lie and insult our intelligence.

  • Dude your full of shit, Bat out of hell is JIMS concept and your glad write all the songs. You gotta hell of a lot to learn about rock n roll

  • nice using a quote from Bat Out Of Hell:Back Into Hell

  • all this makes u awesome mate :)

  • EVERYONE should be sure to know that Nikki Six NEVER wrote a song on Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell

It is misleading by saying "Nikki Six wrote songs for this Bat Out of Hell, as well as the last one..." -This is FALSE, Nikki is referring to his songs from Meat Loaf's "Couldn't Have Said It Better", NOT Bat Out of Hell II.

The original Bat Out of Hell, as well as the sequel, featured songs written ONLY by Jim Steinman. The song's written by Nikki Six on "Couldn't Have Said It Better".

  • the BAT OUT OF HELL brand IS steinman/meat loaf. NO FILLERS. they should hav w8ed till steinman had enuuf material 2 make a whole album.

  • im only 14 but meatloaf is by fair my fav. bat out of hell, pardise on the dashboard lights there all great

  • I think Meat went to say 'I wanna fuckin watch your face' and then realised he can't swear! lol

  • Or maybe he was gonna say "I wanna fuck your face"...

  • I saw him live recently. So worth it.

  • oh GODD i envy you!

  • 2:11 "i wanna f&#k-watch your face

  • THEY DONT EVEN MENTION JIM STEINMAN. AND NIKKI SIXX WROTE ON BAT II? WTF? You could work this into a cause of fraud, false advertising or defamation.

  • No No, Nikki Sixx said ''Man of Steel''...that song wasnt on BAT II...that was on ''Couldnt Have Said It Better''...Meats LAST album before this release...

I think he meant Meatloafs last album before this one, not the last album out of the three bats trilogy...

The reason they dont mention Steinman is because at this point they werent getting on, However Steinman and Meat are working on one last album together NOT linked to the Bat Trilogy...Could be epic...

    I hope that helps...

  • Oops, I didn't read your explanation before writing my own. I gotta say, them implying that Nikki wrote songs for Bat II really pissed me off, lol.

Are they really working on an album together? Last I heard, Steinman was focused on his Bat Out of Hell Musical in London...

  • The album is alright but i dont believe it should have been a meatloaf album not bat out of hell series, without jim steinman producing the whole album it isn't worthy of thebat series.

  • i know dude.

i mean i can comprehend it as a meat loaf album, but not as a Bat out of Hell or his final album neither cause thats laval what it will be.

  • This is the comment I've been looking for, lol.

I totally agree, this shouldn't have been allowed to carry the 'Bat' moniker- that belongs to Steinman. Meat even 'borrowed' seven Steinman songs for The Monster Is Loose, but the minimalist orchestrations just don't give it that Wagnerian wave that we all love to drown in. It isn't over the top, whereas Steinman's songs contain dialogue, sound effects, larger than life orchestrations, and more!

The Monster is Loose is just too tame.

  • Meatloaf is now showing his age and his voise is now unable to hit those notes, at the last concert i went to .

I love Meatloaf but now only on CD

  • As much as i dont like to admit it, you are right, i saw him Live in England and he struggled through the show, but yet he's still epic and amazing...I think we know he is amazing, but we gotta be humble and admit he is struggling thrrough each and every show but just being in his presence and hearing those songs of legend are a blessing to us all...

    :)

I love him and always will..and im 21..

I will tell my kids about this legend called Meat Loaf...

    x

  • I agree. I love Meat Loaf, and he has a great stage presence, but that can only make up for so much, you know?

The bottom line is that he can hardly make through some of these epic (and LONG) songs without slurring his words or just wailing unintelligibly.

  • Meatloaf is a fucking legend and no-one even comes close to him he is supreme

  • THANK YOU sexysarah!!! I've been a Meat Loaf fan for over 15 years. And I'm only 25! My bf took me to see him in concert for my 24th b-day. And to be fair, it IS worthy of being a 'Bat Out of Hell' Jim was very ill during the making of this album and Meat dedicated it to him. The man is a legend, a GOD! The day he dies will be the sadest day in music history for me.

  • Hi Danny. You are my brother. Well done for commenting in such a pleasant way to this god.

  • @sexysarahlover93 He's great but a jerk

  • No he didn't , He was perfect. I didn't notice any error. You are the best meat loaf..... The King of Rock and Roll.

  • i dont think he said the "f***" part

  • I LOVE Meat Loaf!!

Btw, did he say "f&#k watch your face?" lol. I'm sure he didn't mean to (I guess), but it sure sounded like that.
