lassa, the fenestron isn't a NOTAR. They have been improved by non symetrical spacing of the blades. The first fenestrons were very loud (AS365 dauphan) but are now quieter.

This EC is a lot more comfortable than the venerable 61, but is totally being out paced by the Agusta Westland AW139. That is also evident due to Eurocopters move to launch the EC175 in competion with the AW139. They aren't pushing 155 . I flew 155 once, Nice build, but prefered the 139. Unbelievable Cat A performance

It has a fantail, not a simple tail rotor.

The NOTAR system isn't necessarily superior. It's quite sensitive to damage and thus unacceptable for the military, for example.

The counter rotation that you see on start up is more than likely due to editing. The video is running backwards. Or more likly they let the film crew rotate by hand for a better look, and those nimrods don't know a thing about aviation!
