i also suffer from anxiety .but then started having acid reflux and then heart pvc,s i also thought my problem was connected to the vagus nerve but recently i made the doctor test me for h pylori and was found positive i took the medecation and feel like that might have been the whole problem, h pylori is a stomach virus the doctors dont like tell you about.im hoping this helps alot of people.
Wow, this is crazy! I thought I was nuts with the PVC and everytime I moved my neck down I would get PVC, wow! I will have to look into this, I'll keep you posted on what I find out. Thanks for the information, I actually have a 7 day heart monitor just got it today. My stupid pacemaker is not picking up on my PVC and my daughter was telling me I make no sense what I'm describing to him. After the echo the saw the stupid PVC and now they believe me. I'm so freaking upset about him not believing
I'm suffering with similar symptoms but I have severe Vertigo as well.I just started Neurostructural Integration Technique for my neck...since had multiple Head injuries.
hi ! i been having palpatations , lightheaded , for years the thing that makes me have panic attacks is when i over eat . i have high blood pressure and i to take atenolon man this sucks ! and the doctor told me tha it maybe the vagus nerve that it runs right on ur esophogus and my esophogus might b real irritated from acid reflux
Search Dr John Chia, his research focuses on the vagus nerve becoming infected and causing it to become dysfunctional. It then causes all the symptoms you are describing.....
Hi, Im a 34 year old fit female, slim and in perfect health, perfect echo & structure of heart, perfect blood test etc .. I had acid reflux/ gastritis from eating lots of hot chillies 8 months ago. At the time I had no idea what acid reflux was I was just in alot of pain. A day after I was in a hot shower and I came out I went into AF and had to go to hospital & was converted by a magnesium drip. I had acid reflux again after eating lots of hot chillies and tabasco sauce a few weeks ago.
My doctor told me its completely normal to have palpatations and everyone gets them - some people are more aware of their palpatations than others - he also told me that the average amount of palpatations is 4 every hour. Although this may be refreshing to hear, some palpatations are abnormal and should be checked by a doctor. If your palpatations bother you, you should try regular excercise, drinking plenty of water, eating healthily, taking deep breaths, meditation and quit smoking and coffee.
Yes, I had this happen to me as well....when this would happen I would feel it in my stomach, when my heart was palpatating so was my stomach...it was frightening, except mine would last for days, not minutes....For now it has stopped and I am grateful and none of the doctors yet could find a cause for it.....
Again, your my twin... I have the same things, but my heart goes into not only palps, but these long strings (last up to 10minutes) of a heartbeat thats probably around 200+, its the scariest thing in earth, have you ever had that or just the random skips?
hi, i like this video Hey! Have you heard about anxiety zero technique (Go to anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some great things about it and my cousin pretty much cured panick attacks with it.
Hello--I'm a 69yr old Brit male, I've had Atrial Fibrillation for 8yrs. Drugs have failed, so I checked out the Vagus nerve on Wikkipedia. Bingo !.I have no doubts that this is the culprit. ALL my heart beat palpatations and irregular rythmms start in my stomach. I get a bloated feeling, followed by a fluttering inside, the heart copies this motion. If I chew 'WindEze tablets and massage my stomach i get relief and the heart goes normal. Doctors here are ignorant of the Vagus or disbelieve you.
I managed to shock my heart into atrial fibrillation through drinking a lot of ice-cold water. Vagally-mediated atrial fibrillation is the exact name.
So for me, it seems perfectly reasonable that if a lot of ice-cold water can aggravate the vagus nerve into atrial fibrillation for a few minutes, maybe a little heartburn or whatever can create premature atrial contractions, etc. through relatively minor irritation of the nerve.
I've been treated for panic disorder for over 20 years and take clonazapam. My primary symptoms have been pvc's. I have noticed over the years that conditions like acute diarrhea due to IBS, have definitely had a negative effect. Lack of sleep does also. I have gerd and have not noticed that making it worse. After going thru the prep and procedure of a colonoscopy I had problems and that is when a nurse informed me about the vagus nerve issue.
Do you take any stimulant meds? when i used to mess with adderall (abuse), my heart rate would fly! so even if you gotta prescription for it.... look into it a little more... Lookin into all of the meds your doctor has given you.. AND DO NOT try the caortid artery massage by yourself... You can stop your hearbeat completely and kill yourself...
@hope4anxiety How long have ya been on the atenolol. I took 25 mg for my anxiety and and that is when I actually started with the pvc's. these types of drugs can worsen heart palps
Yes. I had SVT (heart arrythmia) since I was 12 and I am 33 now. I had ablation surgery for it at 25. I no longer have extreme palpitations (250 min) but I still have the anxiety that the vagus nerve gives off. I have also had stomach issues ever since I was born SO I am sure their is a connection. Focus on your stomach issues and that should help your paplitations. Peppermint oil or antacids help but I did end up going gluten free and that has helped me the most.

@googlevideosrule Yep, I do the regular exercise now, drink plenty of water, try to eat healthier, and I don't smoke. Wish they'd go away.
