@idontevenwanttomakea It's free to be downloaded, from the microsoft cuberspace I guess. But don't download it, it's just a stupid arcade. If you want some serious simulating stuff, buy Microsoft Fight Simulator X or download flight gear or something simular. Trust me, Microsoft Flight sucks!

hmmm this dont look completely maxed or do you just mean by the ingame sliders.

As the runway and grass and few other spots make me think. Texture resolution is still only Stock Max setting of 1024 where as config allows this to be set to a decent 4096.

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could help me out on a question. I see a lot of videos on youtube about fsx and there PC specs and how theres are maxed out but my specs beat some of theres and i still cant maxed out. heres my specs AMD Phenom 2 x4 black edition quadcore processors overclocked at 3.4ghz with 6mb cache. MSi motherboard. 4gb of DDR3 RAM. visiontek RADEON HD 5450 2gb graphics card. windows 7 ultimate 64bit so I was wondering if anyone could tell me why IM not maxing out FSX.

Maxing out your CPU does not help the graphics. All that does is allow the bit mapping to run faster so the game will not look so choppy. However the graphics used in this game are not that great. So it would not matter if you have and expensive video card or great CPU. FYI, this game does not need a powerful CPU to run it. The maximum to run it is 2.0 and like a 1.4 on the low end. I am using an I7 core and it does not make a difference. Details are not going to be better. Sorry facts!

Physic is awesome, 3d models are great looking are so well detailed, LOD is insanely far, that game needs some higher res texture and we have the 2011 Crysis.

For the fsx and other simulators the CPU is more important than the graphics. You can have the best graphics' card ever but its useless if you dont have a good CPU to handle those graphics. (CPU ->70% Graphics ->30%) Its just my opinion and personal experience...

@j4cko56 Yes i agree....and if you can kick the tin and buy two intel 320 series 80gb SSD one for operating system and one solely for FSX you can load fsx up with a heap of scenery add ons and the read loads up speeds are simply amazing with the i72600k and n560Ti :)

The whole Game is really hated against because your GPU is almost rarely used. Your CPU is what this game depends on.

@Broskeesful It still uses your GPU or else you wouldn't have any models. It's just that it uses only one core of your CPU, making it in-efficient.

same here! I just upgraded to an AMD FX Series Six Core Processor Black Edition at @ 3.9ghz Max Turbo! Im using an ATI Radeon HD 4650 graphics card and it doesnt have a chart this good!

@vitorfw1 FSX is more GPU intensive than than CPU intensive. I can run FSX maxed out on an i5 (not overclocked) and a GeForce550 Ti. (When I run Fraps, it's a different story though...)

You pretty much need to borrow three large servers from the NASA Space Center, hard-wire them to a chess-playing Super Computer, run the whole mess off the power grid used by Lower East Manhattan JUST to be able to play FSX with all the details maxed out.

to run this sim on ultra high your looking at a high end intel setup with a decent evga nvidia graphics chip.

To get airlines like lufthansa that you can fly: download som liveries or some airplanes that has a livery that you like.

To get traffic: download (or buy) a traffic pack to an airport.

@mma941 I believe he uses normal FSX, and as for the traffic, you can download WOAI (Free Traffic Program) or buy a traffic program such as Ultimate Traffic 2 or My Traffic.
