i just came back from Milan and i used those beautiful trams to get around town everyday! I rode route 1,2,4, 9, 14, 16, 27.

Some of those Peter Witts was purchased by San Francisco, and has helped the historic streetcar fleet with high numbers of passengers every single day.

The trams are so noisy when they negotiate turns.

yep, that's because they have solid axles (like trains) but have to negotiate narrower turns, so the wheels skid a lot more.
