How do you mean they are not metal? I mean, have you ever heard one of their songs? Their songs are fast and brutal, although not like thrash metal. They are 100% metal, just like Dio, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Queensryche etc. And they do deserve a top of the charts because their music is awesome. Just remember, bands like Metallica and Megadeth were influenced by bands like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Plus, Mustaine's favorite record is Sad Wings of Destiny (or one of them).
