Good job on the combos a lot of people have trouble with combos even higher ranks, It's coming together though and the leaning just comes from lack of experience as you move forward you correct that. I remember when i was learning to do an oi-tsuki i would move chin first , but as time moves on you learn to correct. Oss
yea im going to have my belt test soon if i do alright they give me a white advanced belt but if i do good they give me yellow belt please tell me wat they do at testing!!!!
Thanks =] I notice that when I'm practicing, I guard too close to my face, too. So someone's gonna punch my hand into my mouth one day... I'm still learning, I'll get there.
Lol I learned that pretty fast in April. Had a black eye and a cut under my eye, took a roundhouse to the face. Wasn't so bad, I'm actually glad it happened. The only way to learn to take hits, is to.. Well, just take em sometimes.
It is severe asthma, but thanks for your suggestion. I noticed that the kiai was a give away. Ironically, I'd gotten in trouble earlier for not enough kiai. Thank you though =] I'm obviously still learning. I do my best, and I push myself hard. That's all I can do.
There is a lot of excuses in this video. You just gotta give it your best, kid. However, stick to it, and you'll be a mean machine one day. As myself, your problem has a lot to do with breath - dont blame the astma unless its severe, in which case kyokushin might not be for you - if its just minor astma, then you can train your lungs to perform better. Be mindfull off your feet, and the fact that you give away every attack you do when you tense up to kiai on every punch.

Like I said, I had kata (First three), basic self defense, basic Japanese terminology, and two short rounds of sparring.

That depends on what style of karate you do. I had katas, self defense, terminology, and a couple rounds of sparring.

get your face back. If it was a real fight, most people go for the face.

And the face is a legal target for kicks in Kyokushin. There are enough people that can kick that high that it is a serious threat as you go along.

Well happy early birthday! Yeah, the asthma makes it hard, and my scar makes it harder, but it's a lot of fun, and I'm glad I do it.
