if i'm not mistaken it's a traditional Jajin-mori rhythm. they've no specific title for the traditional samulnori music, just certain rhythmic patterns that you can improvise on...

I think I've studied this piece before it's a varation on a traditional samulnori piece, turned into a marching piece. It's really fast if you play it right, which i can't do at the moment. how long have you been playing?

you're right dude! it is the same rhythm they use for marching... often with the whirling ribbon headdress. that whirlyribbon dance is what's really amazing. i just took one or two drum lessons maybe. part of my fellowship grant perks. :) are you a musician?

I have been studying it for the last year, I started playing gwangari this past year. I'm pretty hooked on it, though doing the panguts is really hard. I think the ribbons are called sangmols?
