Well in some cities cops are trained in hand-to-hand combat as well a weaponry. I know for a fact Detroit cops are VERY well trained. No I did not have to get in to it, but I know a fair amount of cops and their training

This video really turns the average foreign law abiding citizen from vacationing in the United States. @EinSturm i've lived in the usa for the majority of my life and have never experienced anything nearly as bad as this. whenever i encountered a police, they were calm. every country has their share of bad apples. don't assume that just because of this one cop that all the other cops and government affiliated person is bad in the usa.
Try telling that to the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) in Ontario, Canada. You'll find a completely different power hungry breed of police in Ontario, Canada. Most are just looking for another stripe on their shoulder to move up the ranks at any cost. That much I can tell you. (FYI, I have to work with them from time to time and it's no fun).

Many people I've talked to here feel that statistically less than 1 in every 10 police brutality incidents are ever reported. I find prevention (not getting into situations where I'd be pulled over) is the best defense. If a cop here pulls you over I've never had a problem as long as I've cooperated and had ID with me.
She shouldn't have continued speeding for 8 miles. That's a long time to have a cop pursue you. She should have gotten out of the car as soon as he instructed her to.

After seeing this video, I think the next vacation will be somewhere else but in the United States unfortunately. This video really turns the average foreign law abiding citizen from vacationing in the United States. Sad to say, but there are plenty of other places that are nice to visit in the world without this kind of hassle. If this is what the bottom level of the US government is like, then what is the top level of government like?

@EinSturm i've lived in the usa for the majority of my life and have never experienced anything nearly as bad as this. whenever i encountered a police, they were calm. every country has their share of bad apples. don't assume that just because of this one cop that all the other cops and government affiliated person is bad in the usa.

Most are just looking for another stripe on their shoulder to move up the ranks at any cost. That much I can tell you. (FYI, I have to work with them from time to time and it's no fun).

LOL ya I've seen that video. It's funny, but it's also the least likely scenario if you live here in Ontario, Canada. You're more likely to have what happens in this video here or worse. Many people I've talked to here feel that statistically less than 1 in every 10 police brutality incidents are ever reported. Usually because there isn't the evidence (video or otherwise) to support it, even though it happened.

I find prevention (not getting into situations where I'd be pulled over) is the best defense. If a cop here pulls you over I've never had a problem as long as I've cooperated and had ID with me.

A persons condition has to be taken in to account while making an arrest. So what if the old lady ran a few stop lights or whatever she did. The simply fact is, he stepped over the line. She's an old women. Cops aren't suppose to use that much force on the elderly. Or anyone for that matter.
