  • I wish all these guys would come back to theory11. =(

  • 5:14 He is funny hahaha

  • i hate how they keep zooming and blurring

  • Cris kenner is hench O.o

  • 12 idiots cant understand English so sad ~sigh

  • god i hate the shaky camera and the autofocus

  • 1:40 "Pick three, and make sure you do them better than anyone else."

The first time I heard this, it just past through my ears and not taking any heed of it. A few months later, I realized my magic wasn't going anywhere. I was heading in a messed up direction without any goals. Now I know its significance.

  • i just want to know how david blaine practice..

  • Really a great video...

  • really great video!

  • Best Video Ever!! Thank You so much!!

  • This is a great video, we are always learning!!

  • this camera guy must be wasted

  • Fantastic advice from fantastic magicians. I'll keep this in mind.

  • Lol I like the ak-47 lamp behind Dan White.

  • Always be yourself. Im talking about life in general not just magic. =)

  • I love aaron fisher but his voice is soooooo annoying!!!

  • Is Theory11 only in America?

  • I think these advices will help me alot!

  • ive watched this video 100 times

  • @TheGonzaloMagic why are you dum

  • @tricksshomagic1 -.- dumass

Im just saying ive watched this a lot of times to get the max of information possible

    f...head

  • The camera man is probably Dan, Dave or Chris.:P

  • @MastahMich Why?

  • @BassmrDK

Because Dan and Dave are filming quite alot and Chris is like the leader of t11.

  • nice advice form lee asher.

  • 8:40 "Welcome, your home"

OMG! He sounds more reassuring than my dad. :')

  • these are the problems i had !! thanx

  • Lee Asher seems like one cocky sonofabitch

  • this is good advise for an advance magician, in my opinion

  • from about 7:00 to 7:34 is just outstanding,i allways had that problem...now i almost dont.. one question does it really make that much of a difference if ur into the magic trick yourself or just do it while u look bored and unintrested, and how different is that from being myself?

  • I experienced that myself. At the beggining i was a little scared of failling in front of my audience and so i thought that the solution was to imitate other types of magic and other performances of magicians i saw on youtube and others, but once i adopted my own style i saw the difference. You got the benefit of being yourself and you certainly got more relaxed than by imitating others.

  • i liked what lee asher said

  • ME TOO HAHA AT 6:09 TO 6:39

  • Camera guy sits there and zooms in out quickly over and over and moves around focus, unfocus. Gawd it is awful.

What the hell is the camera persons name so that I know never to hire him or her.

  • There you go Andyfieldmagic you fucking amatuer. You heard it from the pros, a pro knows how to 3 tricks amazingly, an amatuer learns loads of mediocre shit. Sucks for him to be told from the pros.

  • @mopedman1 you are criticin andy ?

    I didnt exactly understand it

  • @mopedman1 he knows many tricks but he may not perform them to people. pros know millions but they dont perform them to people.

  • the camera man is fucking horrible

  • I hate this camera man...

  • come hceck my videos plz and subscribe if you like THANK YOU :]

  • I Never Saw Lee Asher Till This Vid And I Like His Attitude He Kind Of Welcomes U IN If U Get MY Mineing

  • I always learned so many magic tricks i hated repeating i get why i get caught sometimes now not enough practice

  • greate advice!

  • I Love that guys sooo much

  • Focus!!!

  • This video is useful! Now I'm a better performer :D

  • wow this really helped me when i perform magic i sometimes get nervous and when i get nervous my hands become as cold as ice lol but now im getting the hang of it

  • i'm starting to think that Wayne is a vampire

  • twilight freak xD!

  • he does look like a vampire

  • More like a werewolf tbh.

  • @VicanteDeShanee I thought I was the only one!

  • think?

  • @VicanteDeShanee haha :)

  • @VicanteDeShanee lol i think he just wears too much make up like the rest of the ellusionist crowd lol

  • You know this is true when its people like Dan & Dave Buck, Lee Asher and Wayne Houchin that say theese things. Its fking true.

  • I always wach this whenever I think I've taken too long of a break from magic, then I go out there and get started again

  • This is some solid advice.

  • lol... behind dan white is a machine gun lamp!

  • thouse aks47s lamps u c alot of rich ppl have em

  • AK-47?

  • Yea The lamp Lol

  • this thing really motivates me!!! thanks for posting

  • i had around 15 dvd tricks such as theory 11 and ellusionist illusions i forgot about almost all and leave only 4 tricks as my official illusions so i only focus on them and do them perfectly, my illusions are tagged by rich figurson, hovering, and 2 card illusions that i came with =]

  • my 4 great pieces are:

    1)Hitman

    2)Biddle Trick

    3)David Blaine 2 card monte

    4)Disaster Situation

  • i absolutley agree!!

  • Ok..... I started magic about 2 weeks ago, and now.... after watching this video

I think i want to do this for real... not just a hobby......

  • very very true...

i only have 4 prime tricks,

    1. 'fantastic five' i learned from Tim Mannix

    2. modified ashes trick

    3. a modified trick i don't know the name

    4. blaine's snap card change

i know more tricks but these always proves i'm the best at school... i'm still a high school student... lol :)

  • which 2 theory11 dvds should i get? CoinOne, Symphony, Pressure, eXile, Dangerous, Believe, Distortion, or Witness?

  • Believe is an amazing trick, Symphony is pretty good. So one of those two.

  • i can show u pressure if u like, its very easy but effective

  • sure

  • I would recommend getting Pressure and Distortion.

Your next 2 should be Dangerous and Symphony.

  • pressure is really great because its impromtu and super strong!

witness gets amazing reactions aswell and its gimmickless

dangerous is really good to but you will have to feel comforable with palming.

believe is good but not that amzaing(in my opninion)

disortion is a gimmick (looks awsome but yea)

    exile is good

i should get pressure and dangerous or if u wanna get 3 dvd's get witness to)

but: there are tons of great tutorials for witness)

    hope this helps

  • thanks man

  • i liked dan and waynes advice at the start but not lee asher at all

  • OMG , i used to shake like crazy

  • A lot of the people here are saying they're "visual learners" which I have to disagree with, when Lee is talking about the "be yourself" part and not being like other magicians, books like Card College are the best way to go because when people watch DVD's they tend to perform it just like the teacher performs it, but with books your forced to put in some originality, books are the best way to go.

  • Well, I seriously am a visual learner, I've given books a great effort but fail everytime. When I was 8 years old I got my first magic book, I'm almost 18 now and I still don't understand the "Do as I do" trick in that book.

As a magician, we all have responsablilities, we all need to put some originality in our work. So if we watch DVDs, it's our job to put originality in it.

  • You are very correct.

We watch DVD's, read books, the creators thus teaching us indirectly the secret, their own secret, but thats where it stops.

Its our job, as magicians, from that point on, to create and give our original performance based on maybe personal experiences or our own innovation.

As Wayne Houchin said "You know the secret, you know the trick, but to the audience's experience, its real magic"

  • very true

  • 4:17

  • 4:13

  • the last one is true u r not building tricks :P

  • completely true, i am a really shy person and still i practice on my performance 1000000 times before performing live, cause you wana look profecional not unshure of you, once you trust on yourself they will 2

  • Very true, very helpful

  • Everything is true here...and i agree with them to be yourself...i too hate it when i see someone "trying: to do magic..and they really do turn into a robot acting..."thing"

so learn things that reflect you...because all the tricks reflect you..and the 3 that you do better than anyone else..then those 3 you will be remembered by..and i know this by experience

  • nce video....(^-^)

  • practise practise &practise! yup! kampateh all

  • nice movie guys thanks for sharing from your experience!

  • best video.. magician not performing not doing magic yet it is so amazing to hear such words.. nice one..

  • ya like dan and dave said find a buddy to pratice magic on but it sucks cause no one else in my scholl or around that i know like magic so im stuck by self and it sucks

  • its not necesary to got a magician friend, do it with your best friend, i have like 4 friends that helps me out with my tricks, and well its good, obiusly the can keep a secret, just find that

  • I semi agree with the first statement Dave and Dan Buck said. "Get books from your library". I did this when I was young, but it didn't work out for me because 1. I'm a visual learner, and 2. The magic in books are beginner books. You do not have to start with magician books, but those books are and most of them stay at a beginner level. Not to mention most of them are children magic books. When adults to magic in the real world they are hardly or even not going to use those tricks.

  • A magician who came to our school long time ago SUCKED!!! He was a magician that repeated most of his tricks and got most of his tricks from children books. I can't believe he's still getting paid. IMO

  • Naw see I disagree with you on that. You said that most of the books at the library are beginner books, well this video is FOR beginners. Also you say that most of the tricks are children magic books, well that might be true BUT as a creative magician, you can take those tricks and change them up to fit your style and make it alittle more "grown up".

Also Dan and Dave also mentioned that the tricks that you find in a library might not be as powerful as the ones today, but it's all inspired.

  • Yea I'm a visual learner too its hard for me to learn from a piece of paper

  • IMO Lee Asher was the most inspirational

  • Totally agree. And that last thing he said.. Dang that was pure magic.

  • there aren't magic books in my library!!!

  • NON-Fiction.... 793.8

If not there... keep checking, they are probably checked out.

It took a month one time for a certain book to come back.

  • wayne is the best

  • Videos like this are what make Theory11 one of the biggest things in magic. They didn't have to do this video, or any of their other videos as a matter of fact. This is what sets theory11 apart from other magic manufacturers, and not just "another" online magic shop.

  • D.M was,nt at t11 when they first appeared. had the pleasure of speaking with him at blackpool this year an the guy is cool.

  • Why isn't Daniel Madison on this video? Cause I would really enjoy hearing what his opinion would be about all of this.

  • Daniel Madison wasn't a theory11 artist when they made this video.

  • please!!!!! keep the camera focused next time

  • it's supposed to do that

  • yeah man. They did that on purpose.

  • i agree with dan and dave and lee asher.

  • lee asher sounds confused..i think hes having a hard time choosing how many effects to learn..dan white advise is right on the money..thats why hes david blaine boy..go dan white go dan white...

  • hey dont delete my comment..like i said dont be yourself...and by the way lee asher is a fast talker.. watch out for that kind of stuff its not good..trust me

  • why not be yourself, it's better to be yourself and not pose as someone else.

I have noticed Lee talks kind of fast, but really, he's not teaching us how to talk, he's teaching us how to perform better and teach us new effects.

  • thas is true i really dont like lee cuz he talks too loud like he's bein someone else

  • i really thing lee asher comments are the best of all theory11 crew

  • naw daniel garcia, daniel madison and dan and ave buck are the best on theory11

  • and wayne houchin!:D

  • the part about being yourself depends on you. If you want, you can pretend 2 b a real magician, but i just think the person with the wand, and the hat, and the bunny, and the nice suit, i think thats corny. I think being yourself is a lot better.

  • well since i started magic i have been myself and i can say that if you are yourself you can really get awesome reactions because everyone's having fun (including you). It is a completely different thing, though to present an effect as something "dark and mysterious " (like Wayne's STIGMATA), and i think that what most people are trying to say is that you MUST present some effects as "miracles' even though it may not be your style, and i agree. How can you add comedy to a pulse-stop effect?

  • ive seen most of those people because there famous from tv or the internet.that advice was very helpful

  • Awsome video i love it im only 13 i started when i was 12 last year but i didnt learn much u were write learn alot of tricks then u 4get now i will practice my tricks :P thxxxxxxxx

  • Amazing, and inspiring video - priceless advice!!!

  • I haven't been doing much magic recently because of college work and stuff but listing to this again has really helped me get back to doing it.

  • WOW very inspirational...wow...beautiful video:)

  • i've never seen this vid before. i had this impression that th11 was another ellusionist site...but seems to have a bit more depth now...

  • I have watched this every day since I found it. It is really inspiring. Would anyone recommend any good magic books. I have ordered the royal road to card magic and Mark Wilson, Complete Course in Magic. Are these good books??

  • I think Darwin Ortiz's books are good. You can try those but be warned some of his stuffs are only OK-ish, hunt more books till you find one that can suit you best

  • I really want to get strong magic by Darwin Ortiz. I just can't find any site that has it in stock. Do you know of any. Do you have a favourite book by Darwin O apart from Strong magic.

  • International Magic stock it. The website say they haven't got strong magic, but I bought it yesterday!

  • if your really into mentalism i would get explicet content by sean fields. one of the best books i have.

  • I have looked that one up the way the book was made sounds bad but the content looks awesome.

  • Every beginner should watch this. Very inspiring stuff.

  • im far from a beginner and still i get great advice from these guys....from what they said about being nervous... ive been performing in front of people for seven years and have been doing magic since i was six and i still get the bubble guts and shaking hands. But thats just when i perform for a crowd of like 10+ people and its normal. You get used to it.

  • This is actually really good advice. E would probably just say to wear eyeliner and cut yourself, but theory11 knows what it's doing!

  • Lol ^^

  • people seriously do what chris kenner n wayne houchin say bt bieng yourselfit makes the magic10 times more dynamic

  • this is great and very inspiring, every beginner should watch this, and another thing, do not listen to ther people on forums, go to a magic shop and talk to them, and the reason why is because on internet forums, etc. most of the time false information is given, and then its given to another personm, and then another, talk to someone who knows what theyre talking about and not some little kid on the internet.

  • IVE BEEN DOING MAGIC FOR 20 YEARS AND i AM NOW WATCHING THIS FOR THE 4RD TIME! SOME GREAT ADVICE FROM SOME OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD! EVERYTHING THEY HAVE SAID IS SO TRUE, SO TRUE!

  • CAPS LOCK MAKES ME SOUND IMPORTANT!!!! /sarcasm.

  • This is pushing me to be better.

  • very very good words for a begginer...

  • So true!

I must start to show cardtricks for my friends so my nervous get away.

  • kewl awesome words! truly inspiring stuff

  • where can i download wayne houchins dvd

  • thanks so much :)

iam a beginner and this rly helped me seeing what iam doing wrong

    thanks for posting this :)

    thanks so much ^^

  • no worries :)

  • why practice on front of a wall?

  • wayne explains it in the video.

  • wayne explains it in the video.

  • Rofl Chris Kenner..watta funny guy

  • I didn't download it, I took the flv file and upload it directly so that the resolution is not altered... I have said this the second time.

  • how do u download it PLS teach me.

  • How did you download this?

  • I didn't download it, I took the flv file and upload it directly so that the resolution is not altered...

  • thanks for the upload

  • This is really great, thanks so much for uploading. As i am a beginner myself, its great to have any kind of advice from professionals.

  • No problem, just want people who are interested to begin doing magic know what they're doing and what they aim for...

  • Thanks for putting this up :)
