i have also seen the same beautiful bird in the woody area of neath hill milton keynes . but the bad news is i saw it today sadly dead on the road i use to see this bird everytime before an after i finish work :-(

They have a very strange call- you can tell when one is around- a loud ringing call.

Have you ever tried hand feeding with meal worms? They get quite tame. May take a while sitting for hours and hours and hours, but its awesome to get so close to one of these fantastic birds.

I've only seen him ones in a garden, my sisters garden.

She is so lucky to have so many different birds not only in the garden, but there are some owls living in an old barn near there house.

Menu, I love your videos, they make me want to be sitting on a porch sharing the peace of watching our wildlife. I've never seen a green woodpecker before. We had a red headed woodpecker who use to tap away at a dead tree in the woods near my home, it was always cool to catch a glimpse of him. Hugs my friend.
