my step-dad didnt make it surving in the navy... this makes me cry becuz he was suppose to come home this year during our veterians day assembly I had to sing "When are you coming home" and behind me they showed pictures of my step-dad... Even tho he isn't my real dad... he became like a real father to me

when i came home i went into my daughters classroom....she was supposed to be the big sr. in high school who never cried....she was crying so hard when she seen me (back in 2003) im still at home now and will never be goin back because i lost my right leg saving a little iraqi girl from a grenade

I enlisted in the navy right after high school in 1977 and served four years. Got out because my term was done but I never felt I did enough. When the first gulf war came around I tried to re-enlist but I was overweight and it was over before I could lose that weight. Now I am too old. I have always felt ashamed that I, a single man with no family, should lived when so many men with families have died.
