Flair in his prime was better than anyone that has ever been in the business! He could work with anyone and make anyone look good. His cardiovascular conditioning is legendary. There was one time in the mid 80's where Flair had 11 one hour matches in 6 days. Not even the best conditioned wrestlers could do that! Flair would destroy The Iron Sheik. I'm a Pro Wrestling historian so I know the business. Sheik didn't train Flair either. He was in the same camp as him as a fellow student.
