  • brian has got big hair in this video

  • Freddie Mercury was dead for 1 year before i was born, but i sipmply love him...his the best singer!!!! R.I.P. Freddie <3

  • Oh Roger you melt my heart! So cute. And this is one of my fav queen songs! Altho I think I prefer Brian singin lead on this particular one.

  • Roger looks like a hobbit.

  • This might very well be one of my favorite clips of them performing live.

  • I would like to go to a dance like freedie´s clothes

  • Earls court ' 77 i was born....Earls court 2011....'39 still one of my favs... Miss ya Freddie

  • I,v been there... 20 years late. I,ve seen Roger Waters... so.. no baD :)

  • I was there!

  • 2:33 ..... Roger.... is always Roger,....

  • oH,how i miss them

  • Brian sang it on the album but Freddy sang it live. I don't know which I like better as they're both very good.

  • Freddie's tights here are pretty good, but his yellow jacket is still his best outfit

  • Ótimo video !

  • 2:18 - 2:34 definitely my favorite part!

  • i thought brian sung this because it didnt sound like freddie

  • @SgtPepperJohnPaul300 Brian did sing it on the album

  • @SgtPepperJohnPaul300 ya he did do it on the album- idk why he never did it live

  • saw them do this song live '77 and '78 amazing..no one could touch Queen live Freddie Mercury one of the best if not the best front man ever! and let me say how hot he was! Only Freddie could wear this and look so great Brian May Guitar Master, Roger Taylor on drums. brilliant and John Deacon on bass. just great.4 men who were so talented on their own.together.pure genius.Freddie was a rare gem..hope he knew how much people loved him.almost 20 years he's gone but this bands music lives on.

  • Roger's voice during the middle of the song is sooo cool!! I wish I could sing like that!!

  • its called 39 the song starts on 39th second and i think one of the members was 39 when they wr....nope thats a bit too old to have that gooda voice:D

  • @killdoser123 It was also the 39th song Queen released.

  • I Love The Riff At 0:43!

  • Roger looks like a Jedi hahahhaha

Doesn't matter though, Queen the 4 greatest humans ever put on Earth, and taken away too soon.

  • @Maddon54 well, that was when Star Wars had just come out...lol

  • John Deacon never missed a bit EVER! I don't know if there are a lot of bass players out there who can claim that!

  • HAHAHAHA ROGER SO CUTE :d

  • I love John's outfit and hair!

  • Brian's a machine with the 12-string

  • omg i love brian!!

  • @nannbells I love him, too ;)

  • thanks for uploading this. It's nice to be able to watch them live even though it's just a video cos I sure never had and never will have a chance to see them in concert.

  • Again, holy Christ!! I am Cliff from the USA. Queen, my favourite band of all time. I actually own Queen II on vinyl with one side black and one side white. I have been searching for this Earl's Court footage for 24 years and now you present it to me. God bless you and God save the queen!!!

  • Just love how Roger can hit those high notes. Perhaps not always when live, but he's definately the countertenor of the four!! <3

  • John Deacon= James May; Roger Taylor= Richard Hammond

  • @fabhomer but john and roger are better :)

  • I think Roger is so funny!

  • 2:25 che bellissimo, splendido sorriso...

  • I'm guessing Star Wars came out that year since Roger Taylor looks like a Jedi

  • Gran tema, increíble la diversidad de géneros que abarco Queen, supongo que esta canción es Country....

  • 2:15 xD LoL it's funny xD

  • i know u guys love brian sing this song, but u already have it at album version..its nice to hear freddie sing it :)

  • Love this song! Although Freddie is by far the greatest singer of all time - i think Brian sings this song much better - not that Freddie doesnt sound great here because he really does - but Brian's got a more folksy voice that fits the mood of this song. Freddie's voice is just to grand for folky type music! Oh and Roger your adorable <3 :)

  • Queen always makes me cry *-*

  • @gicigarini Ya big baby!

  • Did Brian ever sing lead in concert, or was it only Freddie?

  • @crescentfreshbret Only Freddie. Brian never sang any lead vocals on any song live I believe.

  • They were really up that tour.

  • Freddie definitely forgot the lyrics for a sec a tell tale sign is his lips weren't moving then he use lyrics from a previous verse to get back on track

  • The concert had very problem. One of them is the microfones - that's why

  • ahaha, 1:18... :D Bri in ecstasy?

  • 2:33 : "Yar !" xD

  • Roger rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think I fainted at 2:19-2:35 :P

Why is not John a little bit more on camera?

  • Comment removed

  • there are many mistakes on this video0o

freddie forgot part of the lyrics at 2:34 and roger nearly hits freddie with the tamborine at 2:23, also roger couldnt sing as high as he did in the studio version xD

i love queen, and i love this song, it requires a lot of practice to emulate this band

    god save the queen

  • it's called live

  • i know it boy, but u can take a look at live killers concert and u will find a big diference

for me, its called practice, and... in their golden years, queen didnt need more practice

  • Comment removed

  • at 2:34 you can hear freddie sing, but the sound at this concert was very bad..

  • I think Roger sing very good, It must be difficult to do, and he carries it very decently, you have to think that they are playing live and already tired!!

I don't think Freddie forgot the lyrics actually, I think something went wrong.

  • lmao!!! at 2.23 does roger miss the tamborine?! he nearly hits freddie and then tries to recover but then realises someone saw him. hahahaha! i bet he was thinking "bugger! someone saw me!"

  • No, it was only the angle of the camera that makes it appear Freddie was hit. Also, Roger didn't miss a beat had he hit Freddie. His playing was consistant there.but you could tell by him smiling towards Brian that he was goofing on himself because he couldn't hit those high notes.

  • He was only 5'9"

  • I really wish Brian had sung this live instead of Freddie.

This is one of the few songs on which he sounds better...

  • because.......?

  • I just think that Brian's voice sounds better on this type of song. Freddie does a great job here, but I just prefer Brian's version of '39 to Freddies.

  • muito legal.

    Brian tao concentrado.

E esta roupinha de 'jadi' do Roger, tao bunitinha.

  • (= Love this song!

I think it's cute at 0:24 when Freddie stands there waving the tambourine around. x) How cute.

  • At 0:33 is that a penguin I can hear?

And I love it when Brian's saying "If you want to sing along with this and jump up please do"

And you just hear Roger go "SING ALONG!" Classic Queen!

  • @MrMercuryKingOfQueen a penguin! hahahahaha LOL I heard it too.

  • @MrMercuryKingOfQueen Yep, a penquin =D nearly wet myself!!!!!

  • @MrMercuryKingOfQueen ...... I think it was Keith Moon at :33 actually !! LOL :)

  • @MrMercuryKingOfQueen LOL penguin. Hahahahha sounds more like a duck i think. Funny as hell.

  • esta e uma das melhores do queen]:it is one of the better songs about queen

  • If you would like to own this Queen Live at Earl's Court concert as a DVD to watch on your TV send me a msg!

  • Freddie has an icredible voice but this is just Brian's song sisn't it? Although it sounds very beautiful with Freddie on vocals too :D

  • well no one cares what you think

  • well no one will like your comment because you are insulting roger, are you trying to piss people off or something?

  • I'm just being honest. If people are pissed off then they can go find a corner to cry in.

  • I love this song, but I think it sounds better when Brian sings it.

  • i totally agree cuz freddie's not brian and brian wrote it for him to sing not freddie so

but i wanna hear roger singing it

  • oh nooo!!!!!

  • what a great tune

  • oooh yeah i rewatched it and now i know what he said "sing along !!!" lool

  • What did roger say??

  • roger said: SING ALONG!

  • I wish Brian would have sung this. He has a beautiful voice. Not that I don't love Freddie.

  • what a wonderful acoustic performance!!! woooow!! greeeeaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!!

    [by roby '94]

  • I love Brian May's music.

  • Superb!!!!!!!!

  • i like brian voice, but freddie sing definitely better. roger is amazing !!! xD

  • Hahaha Roger "Sing along!" xD

  • why brian is not singin?

  • In the concerts Freddie sing this song always, but in the disc A Night At The Opera Brian sing it ´cuz it´s his song

  • Oh My Gooood i love this concert SOOOoo so much!!!!!!

So sad microphones didn't work properly. On the other hand, interesting to see how the band cope with this situation.

  • no it isn't I'm pretty sure

  • I think Freddie sings '39 better than Brian, idk, I like it when he sings it instead

  • I love the bass line and this song!

    Go Deaky!

  • roger sound how pig..!

  • In case anyone didn't know the really high parts always went to Roger Taylor. He could really sing like a girl.

  • i think most people know that!! :)

  • someone previously mentioned that this version wasn't as good as the one for kapuchea. that is true, in my opinion, but i love this for the fact that roger does the high vocals in this version! ain't it great?

  • or, at least you can actually HEAR the high vocals in this one!! i just love it!!

  • It's awesome, even though he don't reach same notes as in the studio-version I still love it.

  • It's the same on live killers version, I think

  • I personaly love Freddie's leotrads.

  • *leotards

  • Beautiful... They are amazing. :) Brian , Freddie, Roger and John- Simply Briiliant. :)

  • senza parole x la loro bravura!sono i migliori in assoluto..

  • por siempre queen en este pechito

  • per sempre Queen i migliori!!!Queen 4ever!!!

  • sei una testa di cazzo..

  • You're a big pig guy..

  • brilliant! A track from "A Night At The Opera" and the B side of "You're My Best Friend".

  • One of the high points on the 1975 masterpiece album "A Night at the Opera". What do you guys think about the rest of the album. I think the album's title suits it well...it's not a straightforward hard rock album, it really sounds like an opera!

  • such a great album! the very first one i have ever owned!!

  • best song they ever did

  • noo stone cold crazy or rhapsody

  • this version isn't quite as good as it is on the version for kampuchea

  • yeah, but i love the fact that roger did the high vocals on this one!!!!

  • uuuuuuuuuuuuu¡ great

    freedie is the number one

  • lol i love the intro on this...

"This is called '39" (random guy) "eh"

  • Uh... That random guy was Roger lol, and i think he said yeah!

  • Wonderful. iluv brians clothing here.. and ofc ... freddies (:

  • My favourite Brian song, "very sweet and soft" to

    quote the curly one!

  • I love this song! But Brian does sing it better - oh, and at least Freddie looks good in a catsuit, even if it's a bit... weird :p

  • I agree. Brian's voice fits much better to this song.

  • I am a huge Queen fan. But I hate Freddie's jumpsuits. And Brian actually sings this better.

  • I am a huge Queen fan. But I hate Freddie's jumpsuits. And Brian actually sings this better.

=Brian does sing this very nicely.

  • Why the hell is Freddie doing the lead vocals? Brian sings this on A Night at The Opera...probably the only song where someone other than Freddie is better on lead...

  • beautiful song!

  • I really hope you're joking...Queen has tons of great songs...

  • RRRRRIGHT...I won't bother replying

  • reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetard
