I was actually watching this fight when I was in Japan and it was a big deal. They had been playing up this fight in the press all week saying Kid was going to lose. He made a statement with that knee and people were tripping. I was pissed because I was excited to watch this fight but it was actually pretty cool that he shut everyone up like that.

The guy he was fighting, Kazuyuki Miyata is a really well liked fighter in Japan....or was at the time. He had given Genki Sudo a run for his money but lost with an arm bar and had just beat Erikas Petraitis, People were pulling for him since alot of people saw Kid as arrogant (he was calling himself Kami no Sato or son of God). People try to say that Miyata's record doesn't match his skill but if you can't defend a flying knee 4 seconds into a fight maybe you shouldn't be in the ring.
