3D Desktop effects are available on any distro of Linux now and Codecs are easy to add to Ubuntu (just add the medibunto server to the package manager). Im not seeing anything with this distro that I have not already seen on half a dozen other distro's.
@jjmacey But it's not even a nice effect - in fact, it is horrible. I see expo and desktop wall etc.. are useful but this is just a terrible effect for newbies who don't have anything better to do in my opinion.
You should try ubuntu...
Mint is a good practice for ubuntu
but ubuntu is so much better than mint or anything else

Linux Mint was the first to do it "out-of-the-box" with a single Live CD.
Sure, others have caught up, but Linux Mint keeps rising @ Distro Watch.

Do you mean Ubuntu? If so, I went to Linux Mint for the available out-of-the-box codecs, and 3D Desktop capability.
Plus, the Community support.
